Manga launches on Kodansha’s Comic Days app on April 8
Yuu Kuraishi , Kengo Mizutani and Kazu Inabe launched a manga sequel Shokuryou Jinrui: Starving Anonymous ( Hungry Anonymous ) on April 8 with the title Shokuryou Jinrui Re: Starving Re: velation . The manga debuted on Kodansha’s Comic Days website and app. The new manga takes place in an ordinary school, in an ordinary classroom, with normal classmates. But something was off, and there was an unidentifiable anxiety in the heavy air.
Kodansha’s e Young magazine published the final chapter of the Shokuryou Jinrui manga in November 2018.
Kodansha Comics released the manga as its first digital publication in English. The company describes the story:
It was a day like any other, the high school students with me and Kazu were on the bus home from school when suddenly, it was filled with an unknown aura. All passed out and woke up to find themselves in a truck full of human bodies. They were surrounded by rows of frozen corpses… and human crews were cutting them to pieces. Where are they… and how can they get out of this nightmare?
For both manga, Kuraishi ( Fort of Apocalypse , My Wife is Wagatsuma-san ) is writing the story based on Mizutani’s original plans, and Inabe ( Fort of Apocalypse ) is drawing the manga. The first manga launched in Kodansha, Young Magazine online in 2016, and Kodansha published the seventh and final volume in February 2019.
