Shueisha is a list of a spinoff manga novel by Sana Kirioka Taisho Otome Otogi Banashi (Taisho Maiden Fairytale) titled Taisho Otome Otogi Banashi : Tomo ni Ayumu Shunkashūtō (Taisho Maiden Fairytale: Let Us Walk Through All Four Seasons Together). Hamubane is penning the novel, which will be released on October 4.
The novel will include four short stories, as well as a subtitled “what if” fantasy world with an accompanying eight-page manga drawn by Kirioka.
The series is set in the Taisho period of Japan, and revolves around Tamahiko Shima, a young man who lost the ability to use his right hand in an accident and now lives in a rural area of Chiba Prefecture to take care of his health. One day, he meets the naive and devoted Yuzuki, to whom Tamahiko’s father bought a little girl Tamahiko’s wife. Through this meeting, the pessimistic and withdrawn Tamahiko began to change.
Kirioka launched the manga in Shueisha’s Jump SQ magazine. magazine in 2015, and the fifth and final volume shipped in May 2017. Kirioka published the Showa Otome Otogi Banashi manga sequel on Shueisha’s Shonen Jump + website, and Shueisha published the manga’s fifth and final volume. in May 2020.
The manga, which is getting an anime adaptation, will premiere in October. Funimation will stream the anime.
Kirioka is drawing a new sub-manga for the series titled Taisho Otome Otogi Banashi : Enseika no Shokutaku (A Pessimist’s Dining Table). The manga launches on the Shonen Jump+ website and app on July 23.
