The manga surpassed 40 million copies in September of last year
Kodoani.com – Kodansha’s official Twitter account for manga Tokyo Revergers Ken Wakui’s announced on Wednesday that the manga has more than 50 million copies in circulation after a new print run on Tuesday.
The numbers above are not sales statistics. The manga has released an additional 40 million copies in print or digital since the anime premiered last April, but all 40 million copies have yet to be sold.
Kodansha only announced the manga surpassing the 40 million mark to be released in September 2021, four months ago.
The manga had 5 million copies released in September 2020, about 8 million copies in February 2020, about 10 million copies by the end of March 2021 (before the anime premiere), more than 14.5 million copies by May 2021, more than 25 million copies by June 2021, and over 32 million copies released by July 2021.
Wakui launched the manga in Kodansha’s Weekly Shōnen Magazine in March 2017, and Kodansha published the manga’s 25th volume on December 17.
