Marvel has another game in the works, and the company just revealed a list of potential characters to appear in the game.
Marvel’s rise to the cinema and television screens is beginning to spread to video game platforms, with many of the studio’s popular projects either launched or in the works. With the company’s more than 80-year history, studios have a wide variety of characters to choose from when it comes to making games, whether it’s highlighting a single character or gathering several characters together in a team. especially. It looks like a new game in development will go the character-centric route, with Marvel recently revealing a project with a roster of potential big-name characters including Venom, Ironheart, and America Chavez.
Marvel’s latest game from publisher Nuverse and developer Second Dinner serves as the first game from this relatively fledgling studio. Nuverse is a Hong Kong-based publisher and subsidiary of Chinese multinational technology giant ByteDance, serving as the company’s gaming-focused division. As for Second Dinner, this is a relatively small Southern California studio consisting of developers with prior experience in Hearthstone, World of Warcraft and Halo titles. The company announced it would be partnering with Marvel for its first game when the new studio was founded in 2018.
After being pretty quiet about the game since then, Marvel has released the first teaser on Twitter to reveal the full Second Dinner’s new gameplay. The short teaser showcased Capcom’s Marvel-like cartoonish graphics, which featured Ironheart, America Chavez, and Venom battling enemies that appeared to be Doombots. The company continues to hint at a potential large roster of characters with name tags for many more characters, ahead of the game’s scheduled full reveal on May 20.
With the graphic style and all the suggested characters, most gamers commenting in the post think that this will probably be a new mobile game on par with titles like Marvel Strike Force and Marvel. Puzzle Quest. It wouldn’t be surprising if that were true as many of the members of Second Dinner previously worked on Blizzard’s popular Hearthstone mobile game.
Arguably the game is looking to boost the popularity of the Marvel Cinematic Universe that has spread recently across both film and television, and many of its characters are still on the rise. America Chavez, for example, is enjoying a surge in popularity thanks to her MCU debut in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness where she showcases her powers. Ironheart, on the other hand, goes beyond that as the upcoming Disney+ series that will introduce fans of the genius Riri Williams is still in pre-production and is scheduled to begin filming in the summer of 2022.
