Windows 11’s firewall will be stronger and more secure.
Microsoft has just released a new Windows 11 build for the Beta Channel to improve the ability to block ransomware attacks for Microsoft Defender (firewall).
According to Microsoft’s addition, starting with the current latest versions (22621,450 and 22622,450), their security platform also gets better at detecting and preventing advanced threats.
“We’ve upgraded Microsoft Defender for Endpoint’s ability to identify and prevent ransomware and advanced threats,” said Microsoft’s Amanda Langowski and Brandon LeBlanc.
When asked for more details about what improvements have been added to Defender for Endpoint, LeBlanc declined to share more information beyond what was made public on the release.
Accordingly, the new update adds some other improvements such as memory replication on congested low bandwidth or wide area networks (WAN) and file compression if the Server Message Block (SMB) Compression feature is enabled.
Additionally, the update also resolves issues that cause error 0x80070026 when copying from a network drive and cause Microsoft Edge to hang when using IE Mode .
In addition, Microsoft is also rolling out an update to the Windows Subsystem for Android with all Windows 11 betas. This update brings input compatibility in applications such as games, network enhancements, and more. like reliability updates.
Before launching Windows 11 version 22H2, Microsoft will have other small updates. Windows 11 version 22H2 is expected to be released in October with many changes.
