(kodoani.com) The Mob Psycho 100 Season 3 trailer didn’t show too much, but did show a larger role for Shigeo’s brother Ritsu.
With the release of the trailer Mob Psycho 100 Season 3 Long awaited , it seems more questions have been asked than answered. The trailer connects one- to two-second snippets of the upcoming footage without revealing too much information. The trailer features the same characters we all know and love, like Reigen, Dimple and most importantly, Ritsu.
For many years, Ritsu was guilty of his brother Shigeo’s incredible psychic powers. However, back in Season 2, Ritsu unlocked his own set of powers through the use of Dimple and now feels on a more level playing field with his older brother. While the Season 3 trailer doesn’t show too much of anyone other than Mob, it does show a clear shot of Ritsu in the midst of several action scenes that were cut together, which suggests that Ritsu may have had a different role in Season 3.
With Ritsu’s new-found psychic powers, it is now possible to take an active part in the Mob’s supernatural world. This could certainly be a possibility in Season 3, as Mob and Dimple know and acknowledge Ritsu’s power. The only shot we see of Ritsu in the trailer shows his face bruised, blood oozing from his mouth. This implies that he is in the middle of a fight scene, with a high possibility that he is by his brother’s side.
It’s great to see Ritsu and Mob fighting side by side. Mob wants nothing more than a good relationship with his little brother, and now that the biggest barrier between them is gone, their union can be seen growing. Also, it makes sense to put them together. As shown in Season 2, Ritsu has no problem using psychic powers on himself, under the right circumstances decided by himself. Mob disagrees with this moral argument and urges Ritsu to never use it on people. If they had more time together in Season 3, Mob would have had more of a chance to teach Ritsu how to use and control his new powers.
While the Mob Psycho 100 Season 3 trailer was rather short, it did reveal a larger involvement of a fan-favorite character. It will certainly be gratifying to see Ritsu and Mob develop their relationship, especially now that they can bond over their shared psychic abilities. Win-win if Ritsu gets more involved – Mobs will help in critical situations, Ritsu will learn about his powers from the strongest around and most importantly, fans will probably love it. Although nothing remarkable until the first episode aired.
