Anime series My Dress-Up Darling is teaming up with Japanese clothing brand MILKFED for an exclusive new line. Marin Kitagawa and her favorite video game character, Shizuku Kuroe, will appear in various costumes.
MILKFED announced on its official X (formerly Twitter) account that it will release special costumes based on the anime characters My Dress-Up Darling. Available for purchase at the Japan Premium Store, Marin and Shizuku are featured on shirts, hoodies and shoulder bags. Both the shirt and hoodie come in white and black — the white has a close-up of Marin, while the black has a close-up of Shizuku.

My Dress-Up Darling is more than just Anime wish fulfillment
My Dress-Up Darling is one of the best modern romance anime, but does it just live up to the anime's expectations or does it offer more?
The inside of the white hoodie has a stylized pattern from the skirt of Marin's high school uniform. The black hoodie with white bordered roses is associated with Shizuku-tan's personality. The shoulder bag is black but the inside has Marin's dress pattern. Premium Store is selling shirts for 5,500 yen ($34.91), hoodies for 13,200 yen ($83.79), and shoulder bags for 7,920 yen ($50.27).
Previously, Marin received a highly detailed anime figure from Good Smile Company. This model is based on Episode 3 of the anime series, when Marin and Wakana Gojo go shopping for cosplay materials. It was a realistic recreation of Marin's pose that made many viewers more captivated than ever by her character. The Marin statue currently retails for $105.99 on Good Smile Company's official website.

My Dress-Up Darling is a popular romance movie but also a great look into the world of cosplay.
My Dress-Up Darling's Marin features Shizuku-tan's beloved cosplay theme
My Dress-Up Darling is a 12-episode anime series from 2022 about the unlikely relationship between a reclusive male student and a popular female high school student passionate about anime and gaming culture. Wakana, who was previously shamed for her hobby of hina dolls, learns to come out of her shell by creating anime and game-inspired outfits for Marin. The first cosplay Marin wore in the anime was Shizuku-tan, one of her favorite video game characters from the in-universe adventure-filled visual novel “Saint ♡ Slippery's Academy for Girls.”
Unsurprisingly, the popularity of anime has led to cosplayers making their own cosplay versions of Marin, such as Shizuku-tan, Liz-kyun, and Marin herself. Shinichi Fukuda's My Dress-Up Darling manga celebrated reaching 10 million copies worldwide last October. The anime will also return with a new season, although a release date has yet to be confirmed. Meanwhile, My Dress-Up Darling Season 1 is available to stream on Crunchyroll or own on home media.
