Chapter #324 of My Hero Academia probably changed the whole scenario of Deku becoming the World’s Greatest Hero.
Chapter #324 of My Hero Academia Shines the spotlight on Ochaco Uraraka as she tries to convince civilians to allow Deku to take shelter in UA In addition to the heartfelt words she shares, Deku ends the chapter with some words of her own: “The story about how we all became the Greatest Heroes. ”
The continuation story of My Hero Academia has always been about Deku becoming the Greatest Hero, but now the story is changing. This could be a good thing – or set the stage for the next disaster. Let’s explore the possible meaning behind Deku’s catchy final words in Chapter #324.
The My Hero Academia sequel could be about Deku stepping out of the limelight to give Uraraka and the other young heroes a moment in the sun. The story has been heavily focused on Deku and One For All since the time of the skip, but now it’s being turned over. Deku is at a breaking point, and it is unclear if he will be able to fight. Now is the perfect time for All for one to appear and that moment may be looming ahead.
In Chapter #323, Principal Nezu made it clear that UA High can travel as a form of defense. This is a perfect story to force everyone to separate if the school goes into defense mode when under attack. Like in many other manga, including One Piece and Black Clover, the split can lead to another skipping – a golden opportunity to showcase the growth of other Young Heroes. The infiltration of villains can also be too much for the student, resulting in additional casualties. Some people who have abandoned the Hero class may appear as guests to sacrifice themselves one last time for the greater good of society.
By saying “how we all became the Greatest Heroes”, in Chapter #324, it seems that Deku is foreshadowing some kind of grief. By grouping everyone under the term “Greatest Hero”, he loses his job trying to save everyone and acknowledges the potential sacrifices that may occur in the future. If Kohei Horikoshi is going to get more Heroes to sacrifice themselves, the MHA’s current arc would be the perfect opportunity. The possibility that Deku will lose some of his classmates might be closer than we’d like to believe, or maybe some of them will betray his class, which some say is worse than dying.
The transition of the story from Deku’s solo journey to everyone becoming the Greatest Heroes – aided by Uraraka’s passionate defense of him – shouldn’t be overlooked. With many Heroes giving up, All For One coming to power, and society on the brink of collapse, something more dire is bound to happen. And since the League of Villains has yet to make a move, their activity seems highly suspicious.
If Shigaraki and All For One are still up against each other, then UA could be the site of their final showdown. Both pursue Deku and will do their best to get the power of One For All. Defending Deku from both sides will not be an easy task, and certainly given the right context for the scourge. Deku hasn’t been able to smile in My Hero Academia for a while, and it looks like he’ll get his chance soon.
