This is a summary of the events of My Hero Academia, Chapter 314, “The Lovely Lady Nagant”.
Chapter 314 of My Hero Academia continue the dark war, lock scarf for survival between Deku and Lady Nagant. Villain sniper reveals the truth about why she defected from the ranks of pro-heroes to finally join All For One and in doing so, unravel the corruption of the Public Safety Commission Hero. Lady Nagant is testing both Deku’s strength and his beliefs… and in the final page of Chapter 314 offers a trick that could defeat our hero.
The chapter begins with Deku flying through the night sky to grab Lady Nagant’s arm. He gets angry and says he will make her tell him everything she knows about All For One, but in pure frustration, Lady Nagant punches him with her remaining hand. his back. As Deku fell into the sky, she fired another shot at him without barely missing. Even when he fell, he still demanded answers from Lady Nagant: “Why work for All For One? You know he’s plotting everything, right? So why?! I know you used to be a hero!!”
Nagant replied that the sense of order he was defending was a manufactured thing. Those tinged with that color cannot understand the truth. Deku doesn’t understand, but realizes that One For All’s third controller was right to warn him against using his new Quirk in battle, as his parallelism had gone completely wrong. . he tried to introduce too many new moves into the battle at once and that affected his ability to react flexibly to changing situations.
A bullet hit him from behind, and Deku was stunned by an attack that came from an unexpected direction. Once again he narrowly dodged, but Lady Nagant started firing a volley of bullets at him. She tells him that she is exhausted from having to kill people to protect the shiny illusion of heroic society.
The chapter then cuts to flashbacks that Lady Nagant is narrating. “Let’s say there’s a group plotting terrorist acts against the heroes … or a group of heroes colluding with a group of villains to gain fame and fortune,” she said. “When you have people like that – people who have the power to shake the very foundation of our society, law and order will not be cut. They must disappear with their crimes.” Those were the kind of quests that the Hero Committee gave her.
Trust is the foundation of heroic society, and Lady Nagant describes herself as the cog that keeps the system running smoothly. We see the terrified faces of the heroes she’s killed, exclaiming that they haven’t even done anything wrong – just plan it. A bloody young Lady Nagant shoots down more heroes as she tells how she obediently did her duty.
Next, we see her walking down the street, and a crowd of children lovingly ask to shake her hand. She smiled and held out her hand but was startled when she realized it was covered in blood. Her expression hurt.
Lady Nagant reiterated that she was exhausted from all the killing. Broken dreams. She goes to see the chairman of the Hero Committee in a flashback and questions whether killing dirty heroes really improves society. “Make people believe everything is puppy and rainbow… Is that better than any brainwashing?” she asked.
The President replied that it was necessary to preserve all that the heroic society had built. He ominously added that this is not a job Lady Nagant will be able to leave. She points the gun at him and the flashback ends.
Deku exclaims in amazement that all he heard on the news was that she killed another hero in an argument… not the president. Nagant taunts him about how ignorant he is, that their superpower society is a fragile illusion. Even if he restores the status quo, history will only repeat itself when another bright-eyed girl turns to mock, forced to bear the weight of society’s darkness on her own. She concluded that at least one world ruled by All For One would be more transparent.
Deku uses a Super Move called Pinpoint Focus with Black Whip to retaliate. This allowed him to shoot towards Lady Nagant and close the gap that had opened between them. He replied that while he was probably ignorant, I was beginning to understand how almost everything in the world was a shade of gray. That’s exactly why I need to help people like a hero.
Backed into a corner, Lady Nagant turned her rifle at a man perched on the skyscraper above them – Overhaul. Deku’s eyes widened in astonishment when he realized that not only was Overhauling everyone here, Lady Nagant was likely intending to shoot him in a move that would force Deku to decide between saving him at the cost. .. or let him die.
