The world of My Hero Academia is inhabited by individuals with superpowers known as Quirks. Those who seek to use their Quirks to help the populace are called heroes, while those who oppose them are villains. The series follows the main character Izuku Midoriya on his journey to become the world’s number one hero.
Although Izuku was born without Quicks, he was given the chance to inherit the Quirk of the current number one hero, and his idol, All Might. Prior to the release of Season 6, My Hero Academia released two OVAs as part of the fifth season. The first OVA, titled “HLB,” was about a baseball league featuring professional heroes. Of course, a baseball tournament in the world of My Hero Academia means that the use of Quirks is allowed during play.
The second OVA is titled “Laugh! As If You Are In Hell” and follows Izuku, Bakugo, and Todoroki during their time working at Endeavor’s hero agency, as the team tracks down a graffiti artist known as ” Smiley”. While they will leave this relatively harmless villain to the other heroes, things become private when Smiley arrives at Endeavor’s house. What should have been a simple task turned out to be quite difficult, as it turned out that his Quirk forced anyone who looked him in the eye to burst into uncontrollable laughter.
