My Hero Academia season 6 trailer seems to be missing a very important character

My Hero Academia readers who watched the Season 6 trailer may have noticed that a character from a series has gone missing from the anime.

Kodoani.com – 2022 promises to be a good year for anime fans, especially those who have read Shonen Jump. In addition to new stories for series like Bleach and Jujutsu Kaisen, there will also be several new anime series debuts such as Hell’s Paradise: Jigokuraku and Chainsaw Man. To prepare fans, the trailers for all of these series were dropped at the Jump Festa show. One of the most notable trailers is for My Hero Academia Season 6.

MHA Season 6 will premiere in October 2022. The trailer provides a glimpse into the first part of the next main story, the “Mystic Liberation War” part. It’s great at encouraging fans, but astute manga readers may notice that someone is sadly missing. At around 0:12 of the video, there will be a surprise appearance from the famous Chainsaw Man’s Denji. However, the anime staff saw the need to remove this guest and replace it with a cheap parody. Whatever reason they have for excluding this cameo, manga readers will skip it.

In the manga, there is a scene where hundreds of Heroes are mobilizing to prepare for the upcoming war. In the crowd were familiar faces like Fatgum, Mt. Lady and even Kaminari. If one looks past these familiar faces and slips into the crowd with all the Heroes, one of them seems to be clearly related to the Chainsaw Man of the same name. One can easily recognize him by his chainsaw-shaped head, saw blades from each arm, and his casual attire. Whoever this Hero is supposed to be in the MHA universe, he’s a deadly trickster for Denji’s Saw-Demon Hybrid form.

Anime tweaks this composition a bit. “Denji” is no longer featured in the crowd scene, although the Pro Hero standing where he stands still bears a striking resemblance to him. Now, instead of a saw for the head, he has a normal one-handed saw. It’s not even the whole head; it appears to be embedded in something that closely resembles the base of Deni’s chainsaw head. His hands cannot be seen, but they may also have regular saw blades protruding from them. His white button-up shirt and black tie have been changed to blue and red, respectively. This hero doesn’t have a name, as he’s just a background character, but if he did, it would probably look like ChainSaw Man.

This change was made possible because Bones Inc. has no rights to Chainsaw Man. In fact, the anime adaptation of Chainsaw Man will instead be handled by MAPPA and will also be released sometime in 2022. This cameo might have been fine in the MHA manga, as both it and Chainsaw Man are under the Shonen Jump franchise. As far as the two anime are concerned, however, it’s a completely different mess in terms of copyright issues.

There are several ways to explain this change. On the one hand, it was something of a missed opportunity. For Chainsaw Man to appear in another anime in the same year as his own starting point would have been perfect. Guests can both promote the anime and show off the modern trends of MHA. This opportunity should have been beneficial for both sides, but now it was meaningless for them.

Otherwise, it can all be considered a good joke depending on the viewer. The idea of replacing Chainsaw Man with an obvious and cheap knockoff is actually somewhat interesting in retrospect. If Chainsaw Man fans can see the wasted potential for a proper cameo, they could get a pretty good laugh at this.

In any case, this is a small change and won’t stop fans from enjoying the MHA. Season 6 promises to be one of the most action-packed of all the previous installments, and it will also herald a major change in dynamics between the Hero and the villain that will in every way become a reality. become the new normal for the rest of the series. In the grand scheme of things, Denji’s missed cameo isn’t anything to exaggerate.

Fans should be excited for both MHA and Chainsaw Man. These two franchises will get an anime adaptation sometime in 2022 – and even if Bones can’t recommend Denji to anime fans, MAPPA is willing to accept it. Both studios promise to excite and amaze anime viewers and manga readers alike.
