The two best players in the world will play one of the first matches of the $1 million CS:GO tournament.
Every time Natus Vincere goes up against Vitality in a CS:GO tournament, the encounter is heavily focused on the rivalry between s1mple and ZywOo. The two top players at the moment will face each other in the opening match of the BLAST Premier World Finals on December 14.
S1mple and ZywOo have faced each other a total of 5 times in 2022 and Navi won 4 of them. The most recent encounter took place in the Legends Stage of the IEM Rio Major, when Navi defeated Vitality 25-21 on the Mirage map. S1mple won with a K/D of 40/28, while ZywOo finished with a K/D of 31/31. They also faced each other in the BLAST Premier World Final last year and Navi eliminated Vitality after a 2-0 victory. S1mple ended that Bo3 with a rating of 1.44 while ZywOo couldn’t make a difference with a much lower 0.84 rating.
The rest of the opening matches of the BLAST Premier World Final will also be interesting. Outsiders will face Team Liquid, FaZe Clan will face G2 Esports and finally Heroic vs OG.
The $1 million BLAST Premier World Final will take place December 14-18 in Abu Dhabi, UAE and will feature only eight teams. The group stage can be double-elimination and the matches will be Bo3, the group winners will advance to the semi-finals, while the second and third placed teams in each group will advance to the quarterfinals.
The playoffs of the BLAST Premier World Final will be in a single-elimination format. Navi won the tournament last year against Gambit (current Cloud9 roster) in Copenhagen, Denmark, and s1mple was named the MVP of the event.
