Recently, Netflix has released a new trailer for the animated movie DOTA: Dragon’s Blood 2 and revealed the official release date of the film.
After the success of the first part, it didn’t take too long for Netflix and Valve to make the decision to continue collaborating to produce an animated movie that exploits the plot in the game DOTA 2. Accordingly, the sequel with called DOTA: Dragon’s Blood Book Two is scheduled to air on Netflix online movie platform on January 18.
The new part of DOTA: Dragon’s Blood is still produced by Studio MIR (the Studio behind the success of The Legend of Korra, Voltron: Legendary Defender, and The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf). The first season debuted last spring and impressed both critics and fans, and shortly after season 1 ended, the sequel was green-lit.
The film’s voice actors will also return in the new season.

DOTA: Dragon’s Blood is an extremely successful animated series of Netflix. It is based on Dota 2, the popular MOBA game released in 2013 developed and operated by Valve. DOTA: Dragon’s Blood is produced by Studio Mir in association with Ashley Edward Miller’s Kaiju Boulevard and Production Reve. The film premiered on Netflix on March 25, 2021. The film is created in the style of combining anime with Western animation. Thanks to such a creative and novel filmmaking style combined with an attractive storyline, DOTA: Dragon’s Blood has received a lot of positive feedback since the movie was released. That is also the premise for Netflix to continue to produce Season 2 for DOTA: Dragon’s Blood.
The film follows Davion, a famous Dragon Knight whose sole goal is to hunt dragons. After an encounter with an extremely powerful dragon, he unexpectedly became the vessel for that dragon. Davion then accompanies Princess Mirana on a journey to find the truth about himself and help his beloved find the stolen object.
