Kodoani.com – Netflix shared a clip with English subtitles from the new anime adapted from the novel “Onmyōji” by Baku Yumemakura during the Geeked Week event. This film is expected to be broadcast worldwide from November 28 on Netflix.

Baku Yumemakura’s novel “Onmyōji” began as a series of short stories in 1986 and he later wrote three expanded novels between 2000 and 2008. The story takes place in a fictional setting during the period Heian of Japan and focuses on the character Abe no Seimei, a famous onmyouji in real history.
Previously, the novel “Onmyōji” was adapted into two live-action films, “Onmyōji” and “Onmyoji II,” in 2001 and 2003. In addition, Reiko Okano also drew a 13-volume manga adaptation adaptation of this novel, which began in 1994, and has inspired several other live-action series in Japan.
