Kodoani.com – Netflix has released a short behind-the-scenes video for the animated series Devil May Cry, based on CAPCOM’s popular video game franchise. The video features some new scenes from the animation as well as an interview with the show’s host, Adi Shankar (Castlevania). Shankar also apologized for the delay in the production of the show.
The series will star Adi Shankar and Alex Larsen, who have completed the script for the first season as of November 2021. Studio Mir is handling the animation for the series, with plans for more broadcast season.
The first part of Devil May Cry will consist of eight episodes, and in it will appear familiar characters such as Dante, Vergil and Lady. Although there is no specific broadcast date, it is expected to premiere in 2022.
Adi Shankar acquired ownership of the series in November 2018 and promised that it would enter the “bootleg multiverse” alongside Castlevania.
This is not the first time Devil May Cry has been adapted into an anime. Previously, in 2007, Madhouse produced a 12-episode anime television series. However, the new Netflix series is expected to bring a new and updated look at the world of Devil May Cry to fans of both the game and anime franchises.
