The latest teaser trailer for Netflix’s Resident Evil series has finally arrived and gives audiences the best look at what to expect in this new show.
Those who are anxious want a first look at the series Resident Evil The upcoming live on Netflix will probably be delighted with this new clip. That’s because on Thursday, the first official trailer for the show Resident Evil upcoming movie has been released and brings with it quite a few details about what one can expect to see when the film hits theaters in a few months.
Since Netflix announced the takeover of its new long-term franchise, it’s clear that there will be changes to some of the characters fans know best. That includes Albert Wesker, who will be played by Lance Riddick this time around. Details on what exactly one can expect in the series are a bit sparse but it is known that the series focuses on Wesker – who at first appears to be a scientist well-intentioned with Umbrella Corp. – and his two daughters.
The new teaser trailer begins by letting viewers know that the Wesker kids – Billie and Jade – have just arrived in New Raccoon City to join their father there. As they roll into town with their beloved puppy, the very peaceful folk song “I want to teach the world to sing” plays in the background of the clip.
Slowly but surely the pair will make their way through one of the big scenes in the Netflix series as footage reveals what looks like a picturesque corporate town. Of course, it doesn’t take long for things to take a darker turn, as the next scene shows Dr. Wesker pulling out a vial of some sort of concoction that appears to be a cure for an illness that the scenes don’t have. another seems to say Billie has.
Because this is Resident Evil, it’s no surprise that it doesn’t seem like the cure is working. Viewers are shown a scene of a rat that seems to become both stronger and more aggressive. As the peaceful little song continues to play, the trailer flashes back to 14 years later where Jade is lying on the ground outside a clearly devastated London after the zombie apocalypse was completely unleashed. In the world.
The rest of the trailer has fewer stories than the flash stories here and there, and it shows what audiences can expect when the show finally arrives on Netflix. Among those flashes was a scene where Jade and her group of survivors were completely surrounded by the undead.
Live-action series Resident Evil premieres on Netflix on July 14, 2022.
