Kodoani.com – The official website for the live-action film adaptation of the manga by author Shin Sawada and artist Renji Asai is Violence Action posted a clip from the film on Wednesday. The clip shows the assassin Kei meeting up with yakuza member Terano, who pays for Kei’s bus. Kei then tries to return Terano during the trip, but finds that nothing has changed in her, and promises to return Terano when they next meet. At the back of the bus, Kei’s schoolmate, Watanabe, looked at them with envy.
Kanna Hashimoto (left in the image below) plays the main character Kei Kikuno.

The movie will premiere on August 19.
The manga’s story revolves around Kei Kikuno, an assassin who appears to be a nice and cute girl from the neighborhood but is actually a top hitgirl. Kei skillfully tackles tasks with his gun expertise and physical prowess.
Tōichirō Rutō is directing the film, and co-wrote the script with Itaru Era. Alexander performed the film’s song “Crush.”
The series launched in Shogakukan’s Yawaraka Spirits online magazine in April 2016. The series went on hiatus from March 2018 to June 2019 due to the author’s ill health. The series ranked in the top 20 manga for male readers in the 2018 edition of Takarajimasha’s Kono Manga ga Sugoi! (This manga is amazing!).
Asai drew a manga adaptation of Mamoru Hosoda’s The Boy and The Beast animated film.
Daisuke Muroi is the real name of Sawada, the artist who drew the Reiri manga with author Hitoshi Iwaaki (Historie, Parasyte) from December 2015 to December 2018.
