New hopes of Esports Vietnam in the 2022 season

Esports Vietnam has experienced a relatively successful 2021 with many titles in the international arena. As we head into 2022, let’s see which esports teams are likely to shine next year!

League of Legends: CERBERUS Esports

Compared to other esports, League of Legends experienced a quieter year in 2021 when Vietnamese teams were unable to attend international tournaments due to the pandemic. Even VCS Summer could not take place and had to be replaced urgently with Winter VCS.

However, that cannot be why we can lower the championship trophy of CES, especially when they showed a very convincing performance from the group stage, semi-finals to the final. If it is possible to maintain its current performance and the epidemic situation is well controlled, CES will certainly be a very desirable representative of Vietnamese esports in international arenas such as MSI or Worlds.

Lien Quan Mobile: V Gaming

The unfortunate defeat against Buriram United caused V Gaming to drop the AIC 2021 championship in an instant. It is not surprising that the representative of Vietnam took a 3-1 lead but lost in 3 consecutive games, thereby watching the opponent ascend to the throne with the final score of 4-3.

Even so, the chance for revenge for V Gaming is still there. With its excellent players at the present time, it is clear that V Gaming is fully capable of going to international tournaments in 2022. And if possible once again entering the finals of tournaments like AIC or AWC, Vietnamese esports can completely continue to put their trust in V Gaming.

League of Legends – Wild Rift: SBTC Esports

Despite going through a few unnecessary scandals recently, SE is still a real “boggart” in Vietnam in Wild Rift. Having won a full set of domestic titles in 2021, SE quickly showed that the gap between them and the rest of the teams is huge.

In 2022, it will not be too surprising if SE continues to have the upper hand in domestic tournaments. However, what Vietnamese esports fans are most interested in will certainly be the performance of this team in international arenas.
