Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom was playable on PC via emulation, and now a mod shows that the game can even be played from a first-person perspective.

Kodoani.com – Modern Zelda games have always used a third-person perspective, but a mod for Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom showed what the game would look like when played from a first-person perspective. . As a direct successor to 2017’s Breath of the Wild, Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom once again allowing players to explore the beautiful open world of Hyrule while doing some interesting side quests. However, now some players also have the option to do it in a more immersive way.

Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is the latest blockbuster to appear on the long list of top Nintendo Switch games because just a few days after its release, Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom has performed very well commercially. Although the game is only available on Nintendo Switch, some creative modders have ported it to PC through the use of emulation software. The modding community doesn’t seem to stop there, as it has also started rolling out some additions to the unofficial PC version of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.

On Nexus Mods, a modder with the alias “trevix” uploaded a mod for Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom labeled “Immersive Camera – First-Person Exploration”. As the name suggests, the mod allows players to control Link through a first-person perspective. The mod achieves that by using the camera feature of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, which removes UI elements in the process so that Links can actually navigate while in this mode. The game automatically switches to the third-person perspective during combat or when Link jumps or swims.

That limitation is quite unfortunate, knowing that some players may want to try surfing while in first-person mode. It will probably need some more modifications for the mod to be able to achieve that, but the current situation really seems to be ideal, especially when surfing in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom can come to an end. terrible mistake even without any mods. It’s easy to imagine how bad things could be when done in first person.

In fact, the first-person mode will be useful for players who want to get more involved in the game. While the open world of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom can feel a bit barren at times, the Hyrule Kingdom is still a wonderful sight to behold. And with the field of view getting tighter, the game can feel less empty than before, even if it’s basically just an illusion going on.

If anything, the first person mod is for Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom This is the perfect example of a video game with a mod scene in action without a hint of support from the developer. However, it will be interesting to see how Nintendo will act given how cautious Nintendo’s lawyers can sometimes be.
