New video of Blue Lock anime reveals Rensuke Kunigami

Kodoani.com – Official website for anime adaptations of manga Blue Lock of Muneyuki Kaneshiro and Yūsuke Nomura began streaming a character promo video highlighting Rensuke Kunigami on Wednesday. In the video, Kunigami vows to become a “superhero” through soccer.

The site streamed an informative video about Meguru Bachira and Yoichi Isagi last month.

The anime will premiere this year and the stars:

Tetsuaki Watanabe (Powerful Pro Yakyū Powerful Kōkō-hen) is directing the anime at 8-Bit with Shunsuke Ishikawa as assistant director. Taku Kishimoto (Haikyu!!, Silver Spoon, 2019 Fruits Basket) is supervising and writing the series scripts, and the manga’s Kaneshiro is overseeing the story.

Yutaka Uemura is the concept consultant. Masaru Shindō is the main character designer and chief animation director, and Kenji Tanabe and Kento Toya are also the main character designers and animation directors. Jun Murayama is composing music.

Kaneshiro and Nomura launched the ongoing series in Weekly Shōnen Magazine in August 2018.

The series won the Best Manga Series award during the 45th Annual Kodansha Manga Awards last year.

A spin-off manga about Seishirō Nagi’s past will launch in the July issue of Bessatsu Shōnen Magazine on June 9.
