Thought the damage Maoan caused to Beyond Gaming was irreparable, but fortunately he was given a second chance.
The ASCI 2022 tournament is a Serie B tournament organized by Riot, this is a playground for teams in the second division/Academy of Asian regions. The tournament includes 16 teams from LDL (China), VCS B (Vietnam), LJL Acadeny (Japan), LCK Challenger (Korea) and PCS Academy (Asia Pacific).
In addition to emerging players looking for opportunities to compete in the international arena, ASCI 2022 is also an opportunity to “atone” for a gamer who was once involved in a ban for selling matches. That is the 1116 player currently playing for BYG Gaming Academy:
For those who do not know, 1116 is the Maoan player who caused a stir in the Chinese League of Legends community for his inappropriate behavior in 2021 – the information about the team he was playing at that time was Beyond Gaming to conduct “betting”.
As a result, he was banned from the professional arena by Riot Games for a year.
More seriously, Maoan did a lot of damage to BYG Gaming at that time when they were in a life-or-death period for the 2021 Worlds tournament. The loss of the only mid laner forced BYG to use the top laner. The reserve was the PK to “fire”, and of course BYG couldn’t make it through the Worlds parking round when it was beaten 3-0 by HLE:
The thought that the damage that Maoan caused to Beyond Gaming was irreparable and he would be expelled from this team. Fortunately, the owner of BYG sympathized with Maoan’s immature actions and gave him another chance – but at BYG’s youth team right after Riot Games’ ban expired before the tournament. ASCI 2022.
Currently, the above incident is causing controversy in the Chinese and Taiwanese League of Legends community when some people think that Maoan does not deserve a second chance like this. Even when Riot Games’ penalty has expired, this player still deserves to pay for his actions.

However, if the owner of BYG Gaming doesn’t investigate, the online community can’t pressure him to ban Maoan from playing in BYG Academy’s shirt!
Hopefully Maoan will learn his own lesson to not stick to the mistakes of the past and be able to make up for the damage he has caused to BYG Gaming.
