The Wano Country Arc seems to have finally come to an end as the battle between Luffy and Kaido begins to end.
Kodoani.com – One Piece recently released Chapter 1050, focusing on the aftermath of Luffy’s fight against Kaido. After responding to an extremely daring attack on Yonko, Luffy was able to make himself fall to the ground. The force behind the punch proved to be so great that Kaido completely lost consciousness and walked for kilometers on the ground.
With this week’s chapter, Eiichiro Oda, the author of One Piece, has finally brought to an end the ongoing Fire Festival when all the Sky Boats have finally gathered the skies above the Flower Capital, bringing about a day of freedom. for them. At the same time, much of the chapter focuses on the events throughout Onigashima following Kaido’s defeat and the island’s landing, thanks to Momonosuke’s power. With that, Oda is currently working towards the end of the arc’s revelations which will soon begin to take over most of the content over the next few chapters.
Fate of Big Mom and Kaido
Perhaps the most fascinating part of One Piece Chapter 1050 is the opening scene showing Kaido going deeper into the ground and slowly transforming back into his human form after being knocked unconscious by Luffy’s Bajrang gun. Luffy’s attack created a deep hole, and brought Kaido to the same location as Big Mom. Unexpectedly, Oda caused both Kaido and Big Mom to land in a giant magma pool under Wano Country, which appeared to be an underwater volcano.
At a glance, both Kaido and Big Mom would be severely damaged and potentially even dead. Judging by the silhouette, it’s entirely possible that Oda just killed two of the Yonko of the Sea, however, nothing is certain yet. By the second half of the chapter, the volcano ends up erupting and inevitably throws both Kaido and Big Mom out of Wano Country. Whether the two will die or be captured by the Marines, or meet some other fate remains to be seen.
Regardless of whether Kaido and Big Mom are dead or not, Oda seems to have ended their storylines well, meaning they won’t be playing an active role in the One Piece sequel. On the other side, Luffy was caught by Yamato and immediately bandaged, after which the alliance responded and gave a resounding shout of victory shortly after.
When Nekomamushi announced Luffy’s victory shortly after, the narrator changed the previous outcome from Kaido’s victory to Luffy’s, and ultimately ended the greatest battle in history. One Piece hitherto. In the Fire Capital, fans witnessed everyone’s wishes finally come true, and to close the festival, Toko paid tribute to one of the people who sparked the rebellion, Her father, Yasuie.
Wano’s border is still sealed
In addition to Kaido’s demise and the celebrations surrounding Wano Country, this chapter also gives some important information around Momonosuke and Wano’s borders. From the very beginning of the Zou arc, fans saw Kozuki Oden’s Scabbard during Wano’s quest to open the borders. The Wano Country Arc only makes this more apparent by continually focusing on its importance not only to the country but to the whole world. With Kaido finally falling and Orochi beheaded, no one stood in the way of Momonosuke opening the borders of Wano country.
However, after thinking about it, Momonosuke concluded that it was not yet time to open the borders and he conveyed the message to Zunesha. Whether Momonosuke will stick to his decision or change it later remains to be seen, however, what’s interesting is that Momonosuke now seems to have perfect control over his Devil Fruit powers. Soon after, Momonosuke announced Kaido’s defeat against the people of Wano and transformed into his human form. Fans have yet to see his human form which Shinobu heavily implies is the same as the previous Kozuki Oden. Along with Momonosuke are his sister, Hiyori, and Denjiro, along with other members of the Akazaya Samurai, heralding the age of Wano’s new Shogun.
It’s clear that Wano Country’s Arc is now nearing its end and the next few chapters will likely see Wano’s new Shogun take the throne. At the same time, fans will also be able to see some great moments such as Momonosuke and Hiyori’s reunion, the aftermath of the war where the injured were eventually treated, and most importantly, the number of prizes. The bounty of the Straw Hats will definitely increase.
One Piece 1050 did a wonderful job in bringing a good end to the era of the two Yonko and bringing about a new era that the people of Wano have been waiting for 20 years. While not the most intense chapter, One Piece 1050 does a great job of ending the fight and eventually moving on to the post-war revelations that Oda will slowly delve deeper into, starting with the next chapter. .
