INTERNATIONAL_ Bandai Namco has announced that the One Piece Bon Bon Journey puzzle mobile game will be shutting down on April 6, 2022.
This includes both the Japanese and English versions of the game. Players who are playing the game and have items in their inventory must use them before the game closes in April. Players will still be able to purchase in-game currency until March 7, 2022, through NPH game’s newspaper said.
The game’s developer Bandai Namco hasn’t revealed any specific details as to why the game is shutting down except for an announcement. The game was first announced in 2019 and released worldwide in March 2020.
One Piece Bon Bon Journey will close in April this year in both Japanese and international versions.
One Piece Bon Bon Journey is a fun mobile puzzle game where the goal is to swap Bonbons, symbols of characters’ heads, for three or more of the same Bonbon in a row.
The Bonbons then leave the grid and attack a group of enemy characters or in some cases a boss character. The levels are completed after defeating all the enemies and the player earns treasure for defeating them. The level of the bonus increases when defeating the enemy and each can use unique skills.
The game leaves an impression on many players.
Bandai Namco said that various characters from the One Piece series appear in this game product including Sanji, Luffy, Nami and Zoro. Players can also customize their individual islands with a variety of accessories. Like most free-to-play games, the game follows a “freemium” model and features microtransactions in the form of paid currency.
One Piece Bon Bon Journey has been nominated for Google Play in Japan 2020. The game maker has increased players by 500 free gems.
In addition to this product, Bandai Namco is also known through famous games such as Dragon Ball Legends and Gundam Breaker Mobile.
