A plan came to fruition as the Alliance stood last against the Beast Pirates.
With only 15 minutes left before Onigashima reaches Huadu and the five Tobiroppo come out of the fray, it looks like our heroes can win the raid against Kaido and the Beast Pirates. The castle caught fire when Fukurokuju and Raizo confronted each other on the third floor. The two former comrades exchanged words and phrases, with Raizo questioning how an old ally of Oden could work with someone like Orochi. Fukurokuju countered that shinobi exist to serve the shogun, whoever it is. He also claims that Raizo’s feelings are the reason why he will never be a true shinobi, but Raizo counters that emotions are what helped him and the others fulfill Oden’s wishes and that Momonosuke will be the new shogun.
Meanwhile, Killer and Basil Hawkins continued the fight, with Hawkins revealing he was targeting the Eustass Kid with his dolls. Instead, any attack by Killer against Hawkins would harm his own captain, who would confront Big Mom along with Law. Back on the Stage, King and Queen begin to rampage against the traitors who once sided with them. The rejuvenation potion given to Zoro has yet to take effect, and he is now the target of the Beast Pirates’ wrath. Perospero, however, pursued Sanji for foiling his original plan to marry Pudding in order to create political ties with the Vinsmoke family and target him. Thankfully, Nekomamushi appeared and hit Perospero in the back to avenge Pedro’s death. King launched an attack against an unconscious Zoro, but Marco blocked the attack just in time. He also revealed a legend about a race that controlled fire, implying that King was a member of this race. Soon after, Zoro broke free of his ice cocoon, and, along with Sanji, attacked King and Queen. The chapter closes with the two swearing that once this battle is over, they will “get a glimpse of Luffy as the Pirate King.”
The chapter opens with Sanji and Zoro standing defiantly together on the battlefield with cheers from the viewers. Chopper was shocked at the drug’s effectiveness, while Dr. Miyagi wondered what the side effects would be. The remaining Beast Pirates called out to King and Queen, who were still recovering from Sanji and Zoro’s attack. One of the Tailed Beast Pirates aimed a gun at Zoro, but was quickly dispatched by Kawamatsu. It was then decided that no one, friend or foe, would interfere in this war.
Marco begins to reminisce about Whitebeard telling him about what existed before Mary Geoise, the city above the Red Line and the capital of the World Government. Whitebeard explains that before the city was built, it used to be “the land of the gods”. He came back to reality when Izou saved him from being shot by the Beast Pirates. She chastises him, reminding him that they are in the middle of a battle, but he replies that he was just waiting for her to save him. He then asked her if she believed in god, which she asked when he “turned [ed] into Pops when he’s drunk.”
King and Queen oppose Sanji and Zoro, with Queen saying that they didn’t even feel the attack and that they are the Three Ears protecting Kaido. He fired a laser from his mouth at the duo, however dodging it. However, Zoro asks Sanji what’s wrong with him. Sanji replied that he didn’t know, but since he wore the raid suit, he felt comfortable. Zoro warns him not to drag him down, but Sanji explains that it’s not bad, just weird. They start arguing, and King swings his katana at them, but Zoro deflects it. Queen unleashes a Bridal Grabber attack on him, but Sanji repays the favor by blocking it for Zoro.
Queen begins to taunt Sanji by saying that he has heard that all Vinsmoke children are cyborgs and that his father is a madman. He then asked if the burning leg technique Sanji used was the result of mechanical parts, to which Sanji replied that he was 100% human. The Queen protests by asking if a person burns like Sanji and he learns that Sanji is not a Lunarian, prompting the King to have a strange reaction. Sanji explains that his fire comes from the passion he feels and that he is also good at cooking sea beasts while preparing for another attack. Queen then screams that he will show Sanji “the power of a robot that not even Vegapunk can create.”
Zoro draws King’s attention back to him when he unleashes his own attack on Calamity, but King surprises him by not only blocking the attack, but also extending his katana to reveal out serrated teeth. He used his katana to steal Zoro’s two swords, then punched him in the face. Zoro blocks the attack with his remaining sword and realizes that King is a killing machine, and King asks him if zoro needs school or style to fight against him. Zoro replied that he wasn’t, but that King also never called himself a swordsman and like King, he would do anything to win the fight.
The story then shifts to Kawamatsu talking with Hyogoro about how when Hiyori said she would give Enma to Zoro, there was no reason why Kawamatsu couldn’t stop her. Hyogoro finished thinking, explaining that he understood that Hiyori gave Zoro Enma because he resembles Shimotsuki Ushimaru, Ringo’s Daimyo. Ushimatsu is also a descendant of Shimotsuki Ryuma, the Sword God. Kawamatsu added that fate must certainly be in the workplace, especially since Ryuma is a one-eyed samurai.
In the Third Floor Treasure Room, Jack confronts Inuarashi. Jack says he forgives Wano for ravaging to continue lying about Oden. Inuarashi then explains that if they hand over Raizen, they will be so embarrassed that they will never return to Wano, and that every day since Oden’s death is a day closer to the day of his trial. He threw Jack against the wall, causing him to rush over. We then see a flashback of Inuarashi claiming that he doesn’t know Raizo and that he would slit his stomach if such a man were there. He then continued his speech, explaining that for 20 years he had asked himself if he was still a samurai of Oden. Jack asked him how he filmed Sulong, then realized there was a hole in the roof.
Back at the Skull Dome’s front entrance, Nekomamushi also turned Sulong, praying to Pedro that he hoped he was watching. He then told Perospero that this would be the last full moon he would ever see. On the second floor of the castle, Fukurokuju taunted Raizo, saying that he and the other retainers were only following a child. Raizo counters that Oden is the one who raised them to be samurai and that everyone matures during their lifetime. He goes on to say that Wano will watch Momonosuke grow up. At Tokage Port, we see a fully grown Momonosuke in his dragon form. Everyone except Luffy is panicking, thinking Momonosuke is the enemy. When Luffy confirmed it was Momo, Shinobu explained that the little lord was now a 28-year-old adult. Shinobu sheds tears over Momo’s mature appearance, but we don’t see it.
