In Oda’s letter today, the author said he will take a month off, corresponding to Jump numbers 30-31-32-33 to prepare for the movie RED and One Piece Liveaction.
Author Oda’s handwritten letter announces that One Piece will enter a month-long vacation lasting from Jump 30 to Jump 33 (ie, taking a break from chapter 1053 next week until near the end of July). This vacation is recommended by the editor to the author because the upcoming summer Oda has to take care of many things such as the 25th anniversary, the movie premiere, the end of the Wano arc, etc.
Oda also shared that he wanted to go to Africa (to visit the live action set) but it seems that due to the covid-19 situation, he couldn’t go. Besides that, he also expressed that he wants to rearrange the plot details so that he can connect with the final arc as soon as possible.
