Kaiju No. 8 has potential as great as One-Punch Man, if not greater.
Man one punchAuthor Yusuke Murata is one of the most famous manga artists and he recently gave much praise to Shonen Jump's latest anime, Kaiju No. 8. One-Punch Man is one of the biggest manga and anime franchises, and much of its success is due to the incredible artwork of series artist Yusuke Murata. Even as far back as Eyeshield 21, Murata's artwork is still some of the best in the business, but his work is on a different level than One-Punch Man, and it always has some Best artwork of any manga.
The first episode of Kaiju issue 8 premiered recently and after its release, Yusuke Murata praised the art and animation of Kaiju number 8 ABOVE Xboth are labeled as awesome and realistic.
” In the Kaiju anime #8, the Kaiju fight scene was amazing at first. The art is very realistic but it has a unique quality that makes it very interesting.”
Kaiju No. 8 was heavily hyped visually before its release, and to receive praise from someone of the caliber of Yusuke Murata is nothing but great for the series.
One-Punch Man & Kaiju issue 8 has a surprising overlap
Yusuke Murata is one of the most talented artists in the business, and his praise means a lot for the new Kaiju issue 8 anime
Part of the reason why Yusuke Murata praised Kaiju No. 8 is reasonable is because it has many surprising overlaps with One-Punch Man. For beginners, both Man one punch And Kaiju number 8 are stories about people defending Japan from the constant threat of monster attacks, with the protagonists of both stories even primarily using punches to defeat their enemies. It's true that Kaiju No. 8 has a militarized approach to the concept while One-Punch Man has a superhero story, but it's an obvious overlap nonetheless.
Of course, the superhero element is another point of overlap between the two stories. While Kaiju No. 8 is obviously not a superhero story, Kafka's character and transformation are clearly inspired by the Ultraman series and other tokusatsu stories, so in that respect, Kaiju number 8 captures a lot of the same superhero themes used in Man one punch. When combined with the monster battles, there's a lot of obvious overlap between Kaiju No. 8 and One-Punch Man, so Yusuke Murata would take that as commendable.
Will Kaiju No. 8 achieve the same level of success as One Punch Man?
With One-Punch Man's Yusuke Murata praising Kaiju No. 8, it raises the question of whether Kaiju No. 8 will reach One-Punch Man's level of success. Like One Punch Man, Kaiju number 8 features vibrant artwork and bombastic battle scenes, so it's sure to win over a lot of people with pure spectacle alone. There's also an unprecedented big promotion for Kaiju issue 8, with new episodes even airing on Crunchyroll at the same time as in Japan, so it would be strange if it didn't become a hit.
However, whether Kaiju No. 8's success will endure is a bigger question. The following episodes of Kaiju number 8 was criticized for its poor pacing and clichéd writing, so if the anime reaches that point it could make it harder for the anime to succeed. Surely Kaiju No. 8 has such great potential Jump Shonen cartoons like Man one punchso, with any luck, the anime will try to make it as understandable as possible for both old and new fans.
Kaiju 8 releases new episodes every Saturday on Crunchyroll.
