Overlord 4 – Episode 5 – Ainz hopes to receive from the rune magic dwarves, as at this point the only missing piece is a sign of another player’s presence.
Given that Overlord 4 gave Albedo plenty of time to spend with the bony king, it might not come as a surprise to give Shalltear a chance to make up for lost time. That’s right, episode 5 Overlord season 4 temporarily brings Shalltear back and hopefully she’ll show a lot of good stuff.
It’s funny considering how many of the latest events revolve around Ainz being so fetishized by his subordinates’ self-reflection when there’s no clue as to why things work. Demiurge and Albedo’s conversation was proof that Ainz did nothing but was still inferred by his subordinates as an unpredictable scheme. Meanwhile, Cocytus, for obvious reasons, displays a personality that is quite the opposite of his aggressive appearance.
While there’s a lot to be said for the way Jircniv’s performance plays out – i.e. the popular adaptation cutscenes going on – it’s still laughable to know that Ainz and the others are talking back and forth between themselves and each other. Finally there is a plan to do it. Episode 5 Overlord 4 even takes the time to weave in some of Shalltear’s misunderstandings with Aura’s reminder also doing the trick. Sometimes it’s all about the little things that the Overlord has kept this aspect going strong throughout the colors.
Ainz found a clue about another player in the dwarves
However, this season 4’s new focus will be on the dwarves that have been repeatedly mentioned and what Ainz hopes to get from them is magic. Or at least rune magic, as at this point the only big piece of the puzzle missing is a tangible sign of another player’s presence and seeing what happens to the outside world might be possible. provide clues about this. Therefore, the setup itself doesn’t really matter: new allies are created, new enemies to fight, new situations for floor owners to prove themselves and demonstrate independence, etc.
Will Ainz finally find the answer regarding the other players and the mysterious world situation? Or will the immediate problems hold back that exploration, leaving the familiar characters to develop further?
We’ll just have to wait and see how rescuing the dwarves will affect Ainz’s future plans. You know, once Ainz figured out what the plan was. Haha!
