This is a real situation in a Chinese school where 80 students are placed in the same dormitory room.
On September 5, when attending the opening ceremony of Boc Thuong Experimental School, Boc Thuong Economic and Technological Development Zone, Ha Nam Province, many parents were “shocked” when they witnessed the signing room with their own eyes. The dormitory is designed in the style of a warehouse and can accommodate 80 people.
Naturally, parents think that such facilities cannot guarantee fire safety and health for their children. The management board of Buc Duong Economic and Technological Development Zone said that the local education department has now taken action.
A parent who came to check in with their child took a video and took a photo of this cramped dormitory room.
“It looks like a warehouse, it seems that because it has just been built, the feeling inside is very wet and stuffy, it’s unacceptable.” This person said.
Some parents also complained, the glass on the dormitory door has not been installed yet, the paint on the bed shelf has not dried, and their fingerprints are still attached, then the room for 80 people but the WC area can only meet… more than 15 people.
Responding to the press, the school representative said:
“Due to the high enrollment of the school this year and the high demand for dormitories, the school can only offer this solution for the time being. Specifically, younger students will still be placed in rooms of 8-10 people, while older students will have to accommodate up to 80 people.
The representative also said that the school is urgently contacting and renting dormitory buildings around the school to serve as accommodation for students, this method has been reviewed and approved by the representative of the parent association.
However, after this statement, the school said it would not disclose any more information. Even when the reporter called privately to the school office, the phone was immediately hung up.
A parent whose child is in grade 12 and lives in the dormitory was extremely angry when she told reporters that she found this solution of the school very silly, how can 80 people live together in the same room. a room.
This parent also wondered, the housing solution proposed by the school is not practical, because there are no dormitories or rental houses around the school. Another parent, when asked, said that their family will take their children to school and pick them up in the afternoon, not in the dormitory.
The management board of Buc Duong Economic and Technological Development Zone replied that the city leadership attaches great importance to this issue, now the local education sector has intervened to handle it and will give the results as soon as possible. .
