Atlus shared the news that the PC and Xbox versions of Persona 5 Royal will include more than 40 DLC when it launches this October.
Persona 5 Royal recently gained popularity once again when it was announced that the JRPG title is on the way to launch for PC and Xbox. During the recent Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase 2022 presentation, Atlus revealed that Persona 5 will be one of three titles in the Persona series that will be ported to PC, Xbox One and Xbox Series X | S. Now, Japanese company Atlus has just revealed that the Xbox and PC versions of the game will launch with over 40 DLC.
For gamers who own PCs, Persona 5 isn’t the first mainline Persona title to be released on the platform. The upgraded version of Persona 4 Golden and the 2D fighting game Persona 4 Arena Ultimax were also released on Steam recently. However, with Persona 5 Royal slated to launch in October, gamers will finally be able to experience another main Persona game on their computers. And Persona 3 Portable is also being remade, the community will have three different titles from the Persona series to play on the main platforms at will.
In a recent post from the official Japanese Persona account, Atlus shared new information about the release of Persona 5 Royal on Xbox and PC. According to the post, the game will launch with more than 40 DLCs, these DLCs include various Persona types and costumes of characters from the Persona series, along with item packs that will help in the capture. Early game and combat challenge content features powerful enemies. Fashion items from other Atlus titles like Catherine, the Persona Dancing series, and Persona Q2 are also part of the 40 DLC included in Persona 5 Royal’s PC and Xbox releases.
According to Google Translate, the official Atlus post mentions that 40 DLC will be available from the start of the player’s playthrough, which could mean additional assets are already built into the game. With most of the secondary content being mostly just fashion items like Persona 5’s costumes, perhaps players won’t have to worry about being too strong when they first start playing the game.
There has also been some talk on Twitter about the 40 DLCs that will launch Persona 5 for PC and Xbox. With some fans already buying these DLCs on other platforms where they own the games, it seems a bit unfair that Atlus is offering them on PC or Xbox. Unfortunately, community members will have to wait until Atlus makes this clear on its official social media channels.
