In episode 11 of Platinum End, Metropoliman assembles a newer, more dangerous team to destroy his opponents. The fates of millions hang in the balance.
Kodoani.com – WARNING: The following contains vandalism for Episode 11 of Platinum End.
Heaven’s Battle of Platinum End enters the bloodiest phase of episode 11, with candidate Sokotani Hajime taking Mukaido Nanato’s family hostage at an abandoned amusement park – only for more warriors on both sides to show up and prepare for battle. The hostage situation soon expands into the biggest battle of the story.
Thanks to Revel’s hard work, Hanakago Saki can now fly on wings, while Mukaido and Kakehashi Mirai join her in fighting against their numerous enemies. The scheming Metropoliman has a new super team at his disposal, and it’s clear he’ll do anything to win. The real heroes turned their backs on the wall this time.
Hanakago used the red arrow to manipulate Sokotani’s heart and convince him to free the hostages, allowing Kakehashi and Mukaido to join Hanakago and form a cohesive team to fight back. Even Sokotani joins them as Hanakago’s mistress and temporary ally, but Metropoliman, once a resourceful conspirator, arrives on the scene with an upgraded armor set and, more importantly, three never-before-seen allies, all with their own themes.
This is a significant upgrade over the brutal “Girl A”, who was nothing more than a disposable tool for Metropoliman during an earlier battle in Platinum End. Now, Metropoliman has three trusted teammates, who not only have their own angel wings, but also weapons and equipment to fight. This poses a new challenge for Kakehashi and Hanakago’s team, and the situation worsens when Kohinata Fuyuko uses a deadly virus in a container and threatens to unleash it on human civilization.
Another major Metro ally is Bakamatsu Ryuji, who carries heavy machine guns and even rocket launchers as a one-man platoon. This shows just how ruthless and bloodthirsty Metropoliman is, as his latest minions are more like terrorists than anything Kakehashi has encountered to date.
Metropoliman’s taste in allies makes it clear that he has no blood and no sense of honor or mercy. In fact, he repeated his words in Episode 11, as he was willing to let his ally Kohinata use her virus into populated areas to pressure Kakehashi’s team. Before, he seemed to have had a bit of a sense of honor and restraint – which could have been a weakness for Kakehashi to exploit – but not anymore. His true color comes at the amusement park, a thug maniac who will do anything and everything to win, bordering on cheating. Even the sad story of Metropoliman’s little sister could not paint him as sympathetic or justifiable in any sense.
He stepped back and allowed Bakamatsu and Kohinata to move, although Bakamatsu was relatively easy to maneuver. Kakehashi’s lineup is as cohesive and determined as ever in Platinum End, and the three of them join forces to take down their opponents elegantly without the need for white arrows. Metro feels no remorse over Bakamatsu’s serious injuries – instead ha91n shifts its focus to Kohinata, whose bioterrorism threat proves far more effective than military-grade weapons.
Kakehashi couldn’t bear the thought of such a deadly act of bioterrorism, but he and his allies had to sacrifice their lives to save humanity from that fate. Now, more than ever, Kakehashi leans against the wall as Metro correctly recognizes that taking hostages is the most effective tool against the pacifist protagonist. One way or another, this situation is bound to be resolved with massive bloodshed as Platinum End continues.
