A seemingly credible leak suggests that two more PlayStation exclusives could be coming to the PC platform in the near future.
There was a time in the past when the only way for gamers to play PlayStation exclusive blockbuster games was on PlayStation platforms, but that has changed in recent years. Sony has experimented with the PC games market by porting some of its big-budget exclusives to the platform, even though it’s been a few years since those titles were released for PS4 and PS5. Sony has made it clear that it plans to port even more PlayStation exclusives to PC, and it looks like the next two games have leaked online.
Just recently, Sony held a PlayStation State of Play showcase, where it confirmed that Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered and Spider-Man: Miles Morales would be coming to PC later this year. Spider-Man games coming to PC are certainly huge news already, but according to a recent leak, several more PlayStation exclusives will be launching on the console soon. this platform.
Reddit user glockpopp recently took to the GamingLeaksAndRumours subreddit to make the claim that Sackboy: A Big Adventure is getting a PC version on the way. According to the post, Sackboy: A Big Adventure will receive a number of improvements when porting to PC, including improved visuals and DLSS support, plus it will be compatible with DualSense controllers so PC gamers can have experience similar to when playing on Sony consoles. This build was made last year and glockpopp provided evidence to forum mods to prove his claims to be true.
In the same thread, Reddit user EmpressOfSony posted screenshots to support glockpopp’s claims about Sackboy, while also leaking another game that’s also getting a PC port. According to the leaked images, it looks like Returnal will also arrive on PC at some point. Returnal is one of the few truly PlayStation 5 exclusives, so porting the title to PC would be pretty big news if it actually happens.
It seems that Sony’s exclusive release of PlayStation titles on PC is a “new normal”, and so gamers should expect that this will happen with all of the company’s games in the future. However, gamers shouldn’t expect Sony to release PC games on the same day as PS4 and PS5. There’s still likely to be a decent amount of time between when the game first launches on PlayStation platforms and when it’s ported over to PC, so those who want to play PlayStation’s biggest games don’t have to. If you don’t want to wait, you’ll still need to invest in one of Sony’s consoles to enjoy.
