A new Poppy Playtime Chapter 3 teaser video reveals the title’s release date while focusing on the Playcare program and a mysterious gas mask.
A new Poppy Playtime Chapter 3 trailer includes a mysterious gas mask, a pile of broken toys, and a haunting voiceover. The first-person survival horror series, developed by indie studio MOB Games, lets players explore an abandoned toy factory while being chased by monstrous deadly toys. Poppy Playtime Chapter 2 launched in May 2022 and now MOB Games has officially revealed the third part of this scary series.
The first two installments in Poppy Playtime introduced players to Playtime Co. – an abandoned toy factory after the entire workforce mysteriously disappeared. The first game places the player in the role of a former Playtime employee who enters the factory in search of information on disappearances while using a device called a GrabPack to solve various puzzles. Towards the end of the game, the player narrowly escapes a killer toy named Huggy Wuggy, with Poppy Playtime Chapter 2 continuing shortly after. The second part sees players delving deeper into the factory with a useful toy, completing challenges for a toy that doesn’t have the name Mommy Long Legs. The Poppy Playtime toy line was recently leaked and now MOB Games is also revealing the brand’s third obsession.
A teaser of Poppy Playtime Chapter 3 was recently released by MOB Games via Twitter. The short video shows several discarded toys, including Huggy Wuggy and Mommy Longgs from the first two seasons, as the camera pans across the floor. The Playtime founder’s voiceover discusses Playcare – a campus orphanage that once existed in a creepy toy factory. The creepy teaser ends with a gas mask revealed, hinting that the Playcare show has come to a horrifying end. While there is little official information about Poppy Playtime Chapter 3, the teaser reveals that the game is scheduled to release in 2023.
While the Poppy Playtime Chapter 3 trailer is confusing, the ending of Poppy Playtime Chapter 2 can shed more light on where the series is headed. The end of the second game shows the protagonist almost escaping Playtime Co., only for Poppy to redirect the train to another area of the factory marked as “Playcare”. Along with the new trailer, it seems certain that Poppy Playtime Chapter 3 will explore the Playcare program and the gruesome fate of innocent children raised in an orphanage.
Poppy Playtime has become a widely loved survival horror series, thanks to both its creepy atmosphere and toy-like villains. Poppy Playtime Chapter 3 won’t come out until 2023, but MOB Games has already started to showcase the project with creepy visuals and creepy stuff like Playcare. With Huggy Wuggy and Mommy Long Legs defeated, only time will tell what horrors await players in Poppy Playtime Chapter 3 when the game releases in 2023.
