August 2022 – PUBG MOBILE officially introduces the second annual PUBG Mobile World Invitational (PMWI), which will bring together the best global teams representing their regions to compete for a total prize pool of 3,000,000 USD. from 11.08. PMWI will take place in Riyadh city, Saudi Arabia and also marks the first offline tournament of PUBG MOBILE Esports platform after a long time of absence from the audience.
At the same time, the PUBG MOBILE Global Championship (PMGC) will also return this year, with a total prize money of 4,000,000 USD. Thereby, both global PUBG MOBILE Esports tournaments in 2022 will have a total prize money of 7,000,000 USD.

In the first week of competition (August 11 – August 13), all 18 teams will face off in the Main Tournament round, competing for prize money including 2,000,000 USD.
In the second week of competition (August 18 – August 20), 12 teams will participate in the Afterparty Showdown and compete for a prize money of 1,000,000 USD. The teams attending the Afterparty Showdown will be selected from the 5 highest performing teams in week 1 and 6 teams selected from the regions with a special guest spot.
