Defeating Gen.G, T1 continued to extend their unbeaten streak to 8-0 in the 2022 LCK Spring Split.
Based on all the evaluations of the LCK teams in the early part of the season, T1’s only “counterweight” is Gen.G with “terrible” strength in scrim (scrim). However, in the first clash in the LCK Spring 2022, Gen.G received a miserable 0-2 result against T1.
In this match, Gen.G even changed positions and put Chovy in the top lane in the hope of creating a big advantage. As expected, this guy’s Tryndamere has a lot of equipment but still could not bring Gen.G victory. Even if Gen.G still has the Soul of the Earth Dragon – which partially counters the power of the Corki Ezreal poke couple, the victory still belongs to T1 after 46 minutes of play.

Faker won the MVP in game 1.
In game two, Quid continued to play in the mid lane and Chovy “carried” Yasuo to the top lane. However, the result was not much better when Gen.G lost too many advantages from the early stage. When the advantage was enough, T1 pushed in from 3 lanes and ended the game after 31 minutes of play.

Oner won the MVP in game 2.
Although this is not a lineup that Gen.G usually uses, this victory still shows T1’s dominance over Gen.G. In particular, Faker confidently stated that if he wins Gen.G, a 10-match winning streak is within reach. Therefore, T1 will likely continue to extend the unbeaten streak in the 2022 LCK Spring Split.
