Atsushi Tamaru, Yūichi Nakamura, Katsuyuki Konishi, Mugihito join the cast
Kodoani.com – The official website for the television anime adaptation of the light novel Reborn to Master the Blade: From Hero-King to Extraordinary Squire (Eiyū-Ō, Bu o Kiwameru Tame Tensei-Su: Soshite, Sekai Saikyō no Minarai Kishi) of the light novel has been revealed. The clip reveals the opening and ending songs, adds a voice cast and staff, and will premiere January 9 on Thursday.
The anime will premiere in Japan on January 10 at 1:45 a.m. (January 9 at 11:45 a.m. EST) on TV Tokyo. The anime will then air on BS TV Tokyo and AT-X channels. The anime will stream first on the dAnime Store in Japan and then on other services in Japan. Muse Asia also licensed the anime distribution.
The anime will hold a pre-screening event in Japan on January 8 at United Cinemas Toyosu in Tokyo. The anime will screen the first two episodes at the event.

Naoyuki Kuzuya (Saiyuki Gaiden, Wild Adapter, Jūza Engi Egetsu Sangokuden) is directing the anime at Studio Comet. Mitsutaka Hirota (Rent-A-Girlfriend, Edens Zero, Anime-Gataris) is in charge of the series scripts. Reiichirō Ōfuji designed the characters, with Tomoko Miyakawa, Rion Matsuda, and Maki Fukui serving as supporting character designers. Ōfuji, Miyakawa and Matsuda are also chief animation directors, along with Masayuki Nomoto. Kenta Higashiohji (Super Shiro, Pokémon the Movie: Secrets of the Jungle) is composing the music. Fumiyuki Go is the sound director, while Emi Takanashi is assigned to the sound effects.

The light novel series previously inspired two short anime series in November 2020.
