Game launches for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X | S, PC on February 25
Kodoani.com – Bandai Namco Entertainment announced on Wednesday that the action RPG Elden Ring FromSoftware has sold 12 million copies worldwide.
The game is out for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X | S and PC via Steam on February 25. It was originally scheduled to release on January 21, but was delayed.
Bandai Namco Entertainment describes the game:
The Golden Order has been broken.
Rise, be punished, and be guided by grace to wield the power of the Elden Ring and become Elden Lord of the Lands Between.
In the Land ruled by Eternal Queen Marika, the Ring of Elden, the origin of Erdtree, was broken.
Marika’s offspring, all demigods, appropriated the shards of the Elden Ring known as the Great Runes, and the frenzied weakening of their newly formed powers sparked a war: The Shattering . A war meant to be abandoned by the Great Will.
And now the guidance of grace will be given to the Tarnished, who have been shunned by grace and exiled from the Lands Between. O dead not alive, thy grace long lost, follow the path to the Lands Between across the sea of mists to stand before the Elden Ring.
And become the Elden Lord.
Hidetaka Miyazaki (Dark Souls, Dark Souls III, Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice) and author George RR Martin (Game of Thrones) collaborated to create the game’s world.
FromSoftware released the game Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice in 2019.
