The new trailer for Requiem of the Rose King offers viewers a glimpse into the predictive atmosphere of the upcoming anime, while also confirming details about the cast.
BANDAI NAMCO has released a new trailer for Requiem of the Rose Kinggiving viewers a preview of the upcoming anime and revealing new cast details.
The trailer teases the show’s somber, foreboding atmosphere and gives a first look at the characters of Requiem of the Rose King. Mitsuki Saiga (Black Clover, B: The Beginning) voices Richard III, the third son of the Duke of York, and Hikaru Midorikawa (Platinum End, Our Last Crusade or the Rise of a New World) plays the rival of the Duke of York. he is Henry VI of House Lancaster. Hōchū Ōtsuka (Fena: Pirate Princess, That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime) is narrating the series.
Other veteran voice actors confirmed to be part of the Requiem of the Rose King cast include Sayaka Ohara (How Heavy Are the Dumbbells You Lift?, Sleepy Princess in the Demon Castle), Kōhei Amasaki (How Heavy Are the Dumbbells You Lift?, Sleepy Princess in the Demon Castle), Kōhei Amasaki ( Smile Down the Runway, The God of High School), Satoshi Hino (Log Horizon: Destruction of the Round Table, Jujutsu Kaisen) and Show Hayami (Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans, Ascendance of a Bookworm).
Aya Kanno’s original manga of the same name was first serialized in Monthly Princess magazine in October 2013 and so far, the manga has 15 volumes. Set during the tumultuous War of the Roses (1455-1487), the story is based on the Shakespearean plays Richard III and Henry VI, Part 3.
Animation studio JC Staff Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?, Children of the Whales) is producing Requiem of the Rose King with Kentarō Suzuki (Black Butler, The Betrayal Knows My Name) directing, Hiroki Uchida (The Strongest Sage With Weakest Crest, A Most Scientific Railgun T) is overseeing the series composition, Chikara Hashizume (Edens Zero, DARLING in the FRANXX) is designing the characters and Mayumi Tanahashi (Mary and The Witch’s Flower, Pandora) in the Crimson Shell: Ghost Urn) handles the color design.
Requiem of the Rose King was originally scheduled to premiere in October 2021; however, it is now scheduled for release in January 2022. The series will run for half a year straight. Other titles due out in 2022 include World’s End Harem, Love After World Domination, The Executioner and Her Way of Life, Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch From Mercury, The Genius Prince’s Guide to raise a Nation Out of Debt, My Isekai Life, Girls’ Frontline and the third season of Ascendance of a Bookworm and Dropkick On My Devil!
