Resident Evil Village Gold Edition will launch next month, bundled with the Shadows of Rose DLC, but Capcom said it had other plans in mind.
A few people from the Capcom development team have said that the Resident Evil Village DLC “Shadows of Rose” was created by shifting the focus away from Chris Redfield’s story. Resident Evil Village is one of the best horror games of 2021, many were expecting some new content for this survival title, or at least they were hoping to hear about a potential sequel. .
Capcom is slated to release the Gold Edition of the game on October 28. This upcoming release will feature the Resident Evil Village’s Shadows of Rose DLC, additional playable characters for the Mercenaries and corner modes. new third look, which fans have been waiting to come. However, it seems that Rose is not the sole focus of the DLC, as you will see Chris Redfield again in this version.
In a recent interview with Inside, as spotted by GamesRadar, Resident Evil Village director Kento Kinoshita said they had been working on another script for a while before settling on Rose’s story.
They originally planned to make Chris Redfield, but eventually the whole team shifted their focus to making “Shadows of Rose”. An expansion pack called “Winters Expansion” was developed shortly after the main game was released last May. It’s impossible to say if this plan is being implemented at this stage, but Kinoshita went on to say that the development team wanted to listen to fans, many of whom were moved by Village’s main story.
In that same interview, it was revealed that Ethan’s face would not be displayed in Resident Evil Village’s third-person mode, even if the player moved the camera around. The reason behind this, according to producer Masao Kawada, has to do with the fact that the main character is a representation of the player’s ego. If the player tries to move the camera around to see his face, it will seem to just spin around or change the angle.
Fans now don’t have to wait long for RE8’s DLC. It is said that Shadows of Rose will complete the story of the Winters house, which means that the next installment in the survival horror series will likely feature new characters. However, it is too early to say what will happen in Resident Evil 9. Although we will almost certainly have a new Resident Evil. Resident Evil Village is out now for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X, with the Gold Edition launching on October 28.
