Seeing the shimmering images of meteors falling in Vietnam will surprise many of you!
The year 2022 promises to let us witness rare cosmic wonders, in which meteor shower is the most anticipated astronomical phenomenon. One of them is the meteor shower at the end of July, specifically the Delta Aquarids meteor shower – some of the first meteors of the Perseids, the most beautiful meteor shower every year.
However, due to weather conditions, it is difficult to see these light streaks in some places, so let’s admire the shimmering image of the recent Delta Aquarids meteor.
This medium (or small) meteor shower usually occurs from mid-July until well past the middle of August every year. Meteors are “condensed” in the sky:
Although the frequency is small, it is possible to create meteors as bright as a fireball scattered across the sky. The best conditions for observing meteors are at night without moonlight and artificial light.
The Delta Aquarids meteor shower is a medium-sized meteor shower of the year with an estimated 20 meteors per hour, created from debris left by comets Marsden and Kracht.
This rain occurs every year from July 12 to August 23, but peaks on the night of July 28 and dawn on July 29. Coming from August 12 to August 13, night sky lovers will see the Perseids meteor shower reaching its peak.
The Perseids meteor shower is one of the two largest meteor showers of the year, with a density of up to 60-100 meteors per hour. It is known that this Perseids meteor shower originates from the comet Swift – Tuttle, which orbits the Sun with a period of 135 years.
After this meteor shower, there will be many more meteors from now until the end of the year. Let’s wait and see.
