As the only remaining representative of the West at Worlds 2022 after the Group Stage, RGE Comp believes that the team can go further if they can overcome their Mid game.
The top 8 strongest League of Legends teams in the world in 2022 appeared after the Group Stage ended. This year’s Worlds shows us the absolute dominance of representatives from China and Korea. But in it, a representative from Europe, Rogue, also played extremely well to pass the Group Stage and become the only hope at the Worlds 2022 of the West. Coming to the quarterfinals, Rogue’s ADC player thinks that the team needs to improve its Mid game if it wants to go far in this year’s tournament.
According to Markos “Comp” Stamkopoulos, Rogue often has a weak Mid-Battle phase in many games – this is also something the team needs to improve before progressing to the knockout stages. “I definitely have to admit that the team often makes bad decisions in the Mid game and Baron situation in the match against GAM is the most concrete example,” – RGE Comp shared in an interview with Blix.gg site. He also added: “We learned a lot from the mistakes in that game, Rogue needed to focus on improving his mid-game play to be more effective.”
When asked if Rogue could fix it in time before heading into the Quarterfinals, Comp explained that the team doesn’t often make such mistakes during the game. However, making mistakes is something they absolutely need to avoid in the upcoming matches against the top teams of other groups. “In my opinion, Rogue shouldn’t have to spend a lot of time fixing these problems,” said RGE Comp. “The most important thing for the team to focus on is to keep a really calm state of mind because I’m sure my team hasn’t made mistakes like this in the past. So I think the game against GAM is a reminder that Rogue needs to improve in the Mid game to go further at Worlds 2022.”
