LoL Esports’ logo has been overhauled to welcome the 2nd decade.
After weeks of waiting, Riot Games finally revealed the new design of Summoner’s Cup – the official trophy for the League of Legends World Championship champion. Now the Summoner’s Cup is no longer the classic cylindrical shape but has a more minimalist, modern and angular style. It has many highlights, looks more thorny and sturdy than the old version.
The most prominent part is probably the cup base engraved with the names of the teams that have won Worlds in the past. Accordingly, the full names of players who have reached the top of glory – from Fnatic 2011, SK Telecom T1 2016 or FunPlus Phoenix 2018, … – have been engraved on the new base as a worthy reward for their efforts. their strengths and achievements.
G2 Esports, one of the teams that has guaranteed a place at Worlds 2022, does not forget to “take the advantage first”
And yet, five silver handles have also been added around the new trophy. They represent the five basic positions in a League of Legends roster to highlight the theme, “five (players) united as one” – the text displayed in the trailer. Riot has teamed up with luxury jewelry brand Tiffany & Co. to create a new version of Summoner’s Cup. Before that, Tiffany & Co. also introduced the new Ngan Long Cup (the title for the LPL champion) and jewelry for the outstanding individuals in the LCK (the championship ring and bracelet for the Best Player of the Summer 2022 Finals).
Summoner’s Cup will mark the official debut at Worlds 2022 – the tournament lasts from September 29 to November 5 in North America. Its in-game version will also appear from update 12.18 – scheduled to launch on September 21 in Vietnam.
