The mode loved by many League of Legends players will return once again, but for a much longer time.
In a blog post by League of Legends developer, Riot Games officially confirmed that Martial Arts mode will return to League of Legends, but not as a short-term event.
Riot Games has decided to expand the presence of Martial Arts mode in League of Legends to the entire system. This will give players more time to immerse themselves in the intense action and Riot will also have more time to collect valuable data over a long period of time. Martial Arts mode will start on May 1 and run until September, and the third version of the mode will bring a number of changes and updates to the gameplay.
Players can expect balance adjustments, new features and improvements based on community feedback, but most of all a bigger match with twice as many gamers as before. But while the Martial Arts mode returns to players, its ranked feature will be paused until a few weeks later as Riot wants to see “how things go without the ranked system.”
The lingering presence of Martial Arts mode signals Riot's dedication to refining and enhancing the game for gamers to enjoy over the long term. With the ranked season lasting up to 4 months and updates being released continuously, it's clear that Riot is gradually listening to player feedback and making the Arena mode a permanent part of League of Legends.
