The official Twitter account for Ririo and Aya Tsukishima’s Perfect Crime manga revealed on April 15 that a planned spin-off for the manga will premiere on the online manga distribution platform Mecha Comics later this month. (Note: The Japanese word “Mecha” means “absurd” or “extreme” and does not refer to robots or mechanics.)
The Twitter account also revealed that Tsukishima will digitally launch a new manga titled Anata o, Nomu (I Will Drink of You) at the end of May. Futabasha’s KoiYui publishing house will publish the manga online. The series is based on the mobile novel by Rizu.
The Perfect Crime manga ended with its 10th and final volume on January 16.
WWWave Corporation’s Coolmic website publishes the manga in English and it describes the story:
“I’m the only one who doesn’t know. I’ve fallen into the trap of an impure love… but who is the real culprit of this ‘perfect crime’?” Kaori Maejima is an interior design planner for a construction company. At first glance, Kaori is pretty okay in life, but she has been having an affair with her married boss for seven years. It was a barren love with no hope for the future, but she became attuned to it. Then a man appeared before her, Haruto Shinonome, a designer transferred from the Hong Kong branch office. When this Shinonome finds out about the affair, Kaori’s life begins to change, and she falls into a dangerous trap. A thrilling and moving adult love story!
The manga inspired a live-action television adaptation that premiered in January 2019. The manga adapts Ririo’s original novel of the same name.
