(Country) – The transfer period at the end of the 2022 season is becoming a dark period for RNG.
After finishing the journey at the World Finals (Worlds) 2022, Royal Never Give Up continues to leave many disappointments. Defeating Gen.G Esports (Gen.G) in the first round of the Group Stage was not enough to cover the obvious weakness of RNG in the biggest arena of League of Legends. Not to mention, they were quickly defeated by T1 in the quarterfinals even though Faker and his teammates were the defeats of RNG at MSI 2022.
But waiting for RNG in the LPL is not the time of rest, but the lawsuits related to other individuals and teams. Specifically, up to now, RNG is preparing to face 3 lawsuits all from salary debt and contract disputes. Notably, including the lawsuit against Weibo Gaming (WBG) and former PDD player.
Recently, according to Doinb revealed, RNG may have disbanded. Specifically, Doinb said that Ming is currently considering between TOP Esports (TES) and RNG. However, TES will most likely be the choice of the defending champion MSI 2022. Because Ming has been playing for RNG for a long time but has not yet found glory at Worlds. Not to mention, the Support position is also a weakness of TES when names like Mark or Zhuo can’t compare to Ming in terms of talent and experience.
Meanwhile, Doinb said that GALA and Xiaohu may not renew their contracts. Doinb said Xiaohu’s salary is much lower than that of colleagues in the same position. Xiaohu is considered the iconic player of RNG but if Doinb’s statement is correct, then “Little Tiger” did not receive the treatment it deserved.
As for GALA and Wei, they are the two most talented players in their positions. More importantly, RNG is always loyal to the motto “using domestic players”. RNG will be in a very difficult situation because there are not many ADCs and local junglers with enough range.
RNG is surrounded by a lot of trouble and the players themselves may have run out of patience. If RNG really has to disband, this will be an undesirable ending for the leading force and represent the pride of the LPL region.
