Four-member rock piano band SHE’S will contribute the main theme song “Blue Thermal” and the insert song “Beautiful Bird” to the upcoming March animated film Blue Thermal -Aonagi Daigaku Taiiku-kai Kōkū- bu- (Aonagi College Sports Festival Aviation Club) manga. A short music video for “Beautiful Bird” remixes scenes from the film’s previously released trailer:
SHE’S created these two songs especially for the movie. The band is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year, and it first debuted on a major label five years ago. Mayu Hotta, who starred in the film Blue Thermal, also appeared in the music video and on the CD jacket for the band’s February single “Oikaze” (Fair Wind). The band previously contributed ending theme songs to Angolmois: Record of Mongol Invasion and the 2nd Major TV anime.

Masaki Tachibana (Tokyo Magosystem 8.0, Barakamon, Princess Principal) is directing the series at Telecom Animation Film, and is also penning the script with Natsuko Takahashi (Tokyo Magosystem 8.0, My Love Story!!, Farewell, My Dear Cramer) . Toei is distributing the film.
The story focuses on Tamaki Tsuru, who has been on sports teams throughout her student life until high school, but is instead looking for an active romantic life while entering college. . However, a change put her on the path to joining her college roller coaster club in college.
The manga was first serialized in Shinchosha, Monthly Comic @Bunch magazine from April 2014 to November 2017, and Shichosha published the five compiled book volumes for the manga (.
Previously, the manga inspired a 12-minute virtual reality movie titled Blue Thermal VR -Hajimari no Sora- that premiered in July 2018.
