(Country) – The two teams Gen.G and T1 will face off in the final on August 28 and they had a small interview.
After a long time of competition, the 2022 League of Legends LCK Summer tournament has come to an end. The two excellent teams in the finals are still two names full of grace: T1 and Gen.G. Unlike the spring period, the summer finals will be much more balanced because T1 is no longer in the best form while Gen.G is getting braver day by day. They had a small interview with the reporter:
Q: Gen.G predicts they will win 3-0, while T1 thinks they will win 3-1, what will happen?
Score: Our form is very high right now so confidence is on the rise. I believe we will win 3-0.
Polt: Based on our play-off experience, 3-0 is a very unlikely score so we predict we will win 3-1.
Q: The current meta is rotating around bot lane. What are the thoughts of the 2 ADCs before entering the final?
Gumayusi: I believe Ruler is the best AD carry this season. The final will be my chance to beat him, my goal will be to beat the best player.
“Prince” Gumayusi, the nape of the neck is burnt!
Ruler: Obviously bot lane is a lot more important in spring. I’ll make sure the finals are much better than the group stage games.
Q: Although the meta revolves around bot lane a lot, top lane is still very important. What do you think about the top lane matchup?
Doran: Zeus has always played well and he was selected in the LCK No. 1 Team of the Year. Although he played well, I will beat him in the final because I also consider my performance to be equally great.
Zeus: I think Doran is a good top laner. In the current meta, it’s very difficult to get Solo Kill in the top lane so I think top laning will be a lot of work.
Q (Ruler and Faker): What do you think about winning the finals because they will decide the seed at Worlds?
Ruler: Based on my worlds experience, the group stage matches as the 3rd seed are quite tough, while the Knock-out matches will be a bit easier. I’ve never been to Worlds with the 1st or 2nd seed, so I can’t comment on the merits of the seed.
Faker: Based on how we played in the worlds, I don’t think seeding matters. It’s important how we perform when we go to the big seas and right now I’m only thinking about the LCK finals.
Q (Chovy and Faker): How do you feel about the mid lane confrontation?
Faker: The finals earlier this year I wasn’t 100%. This time, I feel better so I’m very excited for the final. Right now, the mid lane is still very important so I hope to play great in this Bo5 series.
Faker still feels that the Spring Finals is not playing properly.
Chovy: I lost to him last time but I have a good feeling about this summer period. I hope to be playing a great match.
Q (Peanut and Oner): What do you think about your competitors?
Oner: Peanut showcases creative play in the early and mid game. I’m amazed at how the jungler breaks and how many LCK junglers learn from him. I also did a lot of research on him so I believe he will do well in the LCK.
Peanut: I think I’m just ahead of the new jungle path. Oner is a good jungler, I will need to calculate many things. He’s very strong with gladiator champions so I’ll have to be on high alert.
Q (Chovy): Back in 2018-2019, you said the reason behind the final defeats was because you were missing something. So you share what is the missing element and how do you fix it?
Chovy: At that time, my missing element was that I was worse than your mid laner, and besides, my team was still inferior to your team. I’ve improved a lot since then so if we lose, I’ll blame Coach Score (Laughs).
Chovy admitted at the time: “A bit immature.”
Q: Finally, how will the two captains prepare before the final?
Faker: This year’s final is in a different region so it will be more interesting. I think we do our best to prepare for the Bo5 and I believe we will do well. We do our best to play perfectly in the final match.
Ruler: I believe that winning the finals will double your confidence in this year’s world finals. We will win the final match.
Ruler is very confident for the final.
The final match of the LCK Summer 2022 between T1 and Gen.G will take place on August 28, we hope you and your friends will enjoy this extremely balanced match!
