Official website for anime Rumble Garanndoll (Gyakuten Sekai no Denchi Shōjo : Rumble Garanndoll) announced a new visual and Monday promotional video for the anime on Friday. The trailer reveals the anime’s additional staff and October 11 premiere date, and it also previews the character’s voiceover and the ending theme song “Reverse-Rebirth” by Aina Suzuki.
Tomohito Hirose is handling Garanndoll design and mechanics. Yoshihito Nishiōji is the assistant director. Yasuhiro Moriki and KntC are designing the props. Larx Entertainment is producing the 3D CG and Daisuke Kato is directing the CG.
Kusanagi is handling the background art and Kohei Honda is directing the art. Midori Iwasawa and Nobuhito Sue are handling the art designs, and Tarō Kaguchi is the color lead artist. Tomoyuki Kunii is the director of photography, while Rie Itō is in charge of editing.
Yūsuke Shirato is in charge of composing the music. Satoki Iida will direct the sound and Yuji Furuya will handle the sound effects. Lantis is producing the music. Yūji Higa is producing the anime.
The anime will also adapt the manga that will premiere on Kadokawa ‘s Comic Newtype website . The staff will reveal details about the manga’s artist and release date at a later time.
The story begins in 2019, right before Japan changes the historical era. A rift to another dimension suddenly opened up in the sky above, revealing an alternate “turning point” world known as “Shinkoku Nippon.” This parallel version of Japan still maintains militarism and remains stuck in the Showa era. Shinkoku Nippon invades our Japan with weapon “Genmu” (which our modern weapons have no effect) and giant humanoid “Garan” weapon. The invaders immediately took over our government and all but conquered Japan. As a result, our Japan never ushered in the Reiwa era.
A decade later, our Japan was transformed into Genkoku Nippon, a puppet state of Shinkoku Nippon. Under harsh censorship, manga, anime, idols, and similar subcultures that once flourished have completely died out… or so it seemed. A secret society named Arahabaki (a Japanese abbreviation for Tokyo’s Akihabara sub-culture shopping district) emerges to oppose Shinkoku using Garanndoll weapons armed by the “pin girls”.

Seiichirō Yamashita as Hosomichi Kudō, a club owner who works illegally in Tokyo’s Kabukichō district
Ai Fairouz as Rin Akagi, a fan of anime and live-action tokusatsu (special effects) works.
Aina Suzuki as Yuki Aoba, an underground idol
Shiori Izawa as Misa Kuroki, a genius hacker who loves classic games
Takuma Terashima as Akatsuki Shinonome, a colonel from Shinkoku
Rina Hidaka as Hayate Makami, a girl from a military family that values the spirit of the samurai.
Yukiyo Fujii as Musashi Sashigami, a daughter of a high-class noble with military talent
Shino Shimoji as Yakumo Kamizuru, a Shinkoku mechanic, descendant of the onmyōji gods
Tomokazu Sugita as Balzac Yamada, commander of the Arahabaki resistance
Aki Toyosaki as Mimi Kagurazaka, technician Arahabaki
Takamitsu Fukuchi as Anjū Munakata, the shady financial handler for Hosomichi
Kenichirō Matsuda as Ukai, who takes care of everything from buying things for otaku to finding battery-powered girls
Takahiro Mizushima , Shouta Hayama and Hayato Kaneko as Megane, Cap, Pocha
Masaomi Andō is directing the anime at studio Lerche. Makoto Uezu (Scum’s Wish, The Heroic Legend of Arslan, Kengan Ashura) is supervising the series’ scripts, Akio Watanabe (The Fruit of Grisaia, The Eden of Grisaia) is the original character designer, and Keiko Kurosawa (Astra Lost) in Space, Scum’s Wish) is adapting those designs for animation. EGG FIRM is producing the anime. Mia REGINA is performing the anime’s opening theme song “Fever Dreamer.”
The anime will premiere at AT-X, Tokyo MX, Yomiuri TV, and BS11 on October 11. Funimation will stream the anime as part of Fall 2021.
