Hello and welcome back to the youtube channel Tin Game Channel.
What if one day, you realize all you know about the world is just the tip of the iceberg? That humanity is actually threatened by mysterious entities that we cannot control, such as a monster that can kill anyone who sees its face, a cult capable of creating catastrophes on a global scale, or powerful beings beyond our understanding?
That is the story that happened in SCP: Secret Files, the game released by GameZoo on September 13. The game is set about the events taking place at the base of the mysterious SCP organization, you will play as Karl Astana, a student who accidentally meets SCP Foundation staff while working on a thesis at a restaurant. but became an employee of the organization’s archives, under the supervision of Dr. Chuck Auer.
The purpose of establishing the SPC is to prevent the harm of mysterious entities. Having branches all over the world, SCP operates with 3 criteria: secure, contain, and protect. But will the employees in the organization overcome the terror that haunts them day by day? Specifically in Karl’s case, when processing records stored in the organization’s data warehouse, his perception of the world changed, resulting in serious psychological effects.
What did Karl see? To answer that question, let’s see what awaits humanity in the end.
Note: Because this video has a lot to do with SCP, for accuracy, the information citations about SCP in the video are mostly referenced by Moi from the community wiki page of the fanpage of SCP Vietnam and the international SCP Foundation. .
SCP-7547: Desert, sandstorm, and cables
The first file Karl dealt with to familiarize himself with the job was Dr. Hamm’s video recording of D-class personnel Jason Carter’s contact with SCP-7547. If you wonder what SCP Foundation’s D-class personnel are, they are usually prisoners of serious violent crimes sentenced to death, in some cases refugees or political prisoners. These personnel are often tasked with dealing with particularly dangerous SCPs, and if a serious incident occurs, D-class personnel are terminated for secrecy.
According to Dr. Hamm’s explanation, Jason’s place of work is a desert classified as natural anomaly number 7547. The organization will provide Jason with a detector, protective clothing, shelter, Daily bed and food, plus an off-road vehicle that can run on sand. Jason’s daily task is to drive out to pick up 100kg of waste in the desert and put it in the incinerator. Before he sleeps, he will have to take a mental test and that will take place during his 30 days of solitary life in the desert.
Jason’s every move will be recorded by security cameras and used for research purposes. Regarding SCP-7547, all access to SCP-7547 documentation is denied on the foundation wiki, so there isn’t much information available about this entity. The only thing the Foundation knows is that SCP-7547 generates metal waste once every 8 minutes and 37 seconds, so Jason is required to clean up SCP-7547 to avoid a global waste disaster. .
Dr. Hamm said before Jason had 329 people come here, but they all disappeared for unknown reasons, so the organization sent D-class personnel like Jason to find out the reason. Jason’s first days were very peaceful. However, as recorded from the video to the 8th day, Jason picked up a humanoid object wrapped with a cable, weighing about 110kg. After the object was destroyed in the incinerator, physiological analysis showed that Jason had a dream that night, but the organization’s technology was not so advanced that Jason’s dreams could be observed.
By day 15, SCP-7547’s effects on Jason became more pronounced. His health began to show signs of decline with symptoms of dizziness and dizziness. A sandstorm suddenly hits Jason’s base, but he still has to go out on a mission and quickly loses his way in the storm. Following the cables that suddenly appeared on the sand, Jason was lucky to come to a strange base strewn with wires. Once inside he saw a man in a protective suit at the end of the road. Jason approached and was horrified to discover the man’s strange face.
It was a deep hole with overlapping black cables. The ropes seemed to come to life, crawling out of the hole in the face and attacking Jason. About 13 hours later, the camera recorded Jason returning to the base with an extremely scared look. He could not complete the mental test as usual, even using a chair to smash the communication screen of the organization.
According to the camera, Jason rushed out of the room after discovering that no one could leave the place alive. He ran out of the base and drove into a sandstorm, from which the organization received no further signal from Jason. 48 days later, a new D-class personnel was dispatched to SCP-7547. While on a daily mission, he finds Jason’s transmitter lying next to a cocoon of braided cables, the cocoon is transported back to the base to be incinerated like other trash. According to Dr. Hamm, to date, the Foundation has not found the truth about SCP-7547, such studies are still underway.
However, those are the images in the video, and in the game, we will learn that after leaving the base, Jason will reach an abandoned city on the sand and encounter SCP-7547. It was shaped like a payphone with cables entwined in the sand. Those ropes attacked Jason, wrapping him in a cocoon. After watching the video recording what happened to Jason, Karl felt a little uncomfortable when he realized that since taking this job, he had to face death that could come at any time and that was the case. which is very normal when you are an employee of the SCP organization.
SCP-701: The Hanging King Tragedy
Karl’s first assignment as a full-time employee was to examine the recording of Agent Q’s “Black Box Incident” involving SCP-701. Based on the recording, we know the agent. Bella Lawrence is sent to the Pony station to retrieve the “black box” at the request of the organization. However, after returning, Bella’s nerves were severely damaged, making it very difficult for other agents to get information from her. Since then the story of SCP-701 has been revealed.
SCP-701 is a five-act revenge tragedy written in the Caroline era. Anyone who watches or acts in this play will become mentally disturbed and commit suicide. Multiple records have linked these mysterious deaths to a character known as SCP-701-1. Records indicate that SCP-701-1 will appear as “The Hanged King” when the play reaches its fifth act. Its appearance will cause actors and spectators to commit suicide or commit suicide. each other causing riots.
Survivors of the chaotic event will show signs of severe psychological trauma. Some will not remember what happened, others are reported to be mentally ill or fall into a permanent coma. On the tape is Bella’s account of what she experienced at Pony Station when she encountered SCP-701-1. Bella said that at first, everything was normal, knowing that the Pony station area was hosting SCP-701 testing, she was extremely careful to avoid encountering the dangerous creature.
The condition inside the Pony station was not very good, wooden dolls and documents were scattered on the floor. Entering the station for a while, Bella felt sudden headaches, accompanied by a feeling of shortness of breath like being hanged. Initially it only lasted for a short time with low frequency, but the longer it was at Pony station, the more often it happened. From time to time, the image of many people hanging in the air would flash through her mind, which made Bella even more panicked.
Bella gradually hallucinated and could not control herself, sometimes an SCP in the form of a man wrapped in chains would appear to attack Bella, causing her to become even more deranged. During this process, except for the wooden dolls, Bella will not meet any of the staff working at the Pony station.
As the story drew to a close, Bella said in a panic that she had reached the room where the black box was located and brought it back by the elevator. However, Agent Q in charge of the recording denied this and said that they did not see Bella bring back any black boxes. Even at Pony station, there is no elevator like Bella said. He asks Bella to recall exactly what she’s been through and to narrate it as clearly as possible.
Bella became flustered and stammered trying to remember something, and shortly afterwards reported that she encountered SCP-701-1 and saw Pony station research personnel getting into a fight during the demonstration. play SCP-701. When the show reached its climax, many of the surviving staff members began to hang themselves, after which Bella couldn’t remember a thing.
Agent Q says Bella didn’t bring the black box back to base because she became a living black box. A black box is something that is used to record things that have happened. Since Bella has witnessed all the events caused by SCP-701, she has now become a “black box”. Her end result is being archived in the organization and interrogated every day to extract useful information for research.
SCP-1762: The Tale of Dragons
Karl gradually got used to the job and processed the archives faster and faster. Today inside SCP has an online presentation organized by Dr. Trevor. Trevor was a high-ranking person with a wealth of knowledge, so there was no way that Karl would skip that lecture. In Trevor’s video, he talks about a story between a boy named Daniel and SCP-1762. Contrary to the documents Karl was exposed to, SCP-1762 is relatively safe for humans.
As noted on the wiki page, SCP-1762 is composed of two parts, SCP-1762-1 and SCP-1762-2. In which SCP-1762-1 is a 32 x 20 x 26 cm cardboard box covered with silver paint both inside and out, on the lid of the box the words “Here are dragons” written in black marker pen. When SCP-1762-1 opens on its own, it releases SCP-1762-2 which are origami pieces in the shape of several types of dragons according to Eastern and Western legends.
Each time the lid is opened, SCP-1762-1 will release between 50 and 400 instances of SCP-1762-2. These individuals after coming out of the box will play with each other and with those who are present. Approximately 2 to 3 hours later, all SCP-1762-2 will return to SCP-1762-1, with no record of SCP-1762-2 ever posing a danger to humans.
During Dr. Trevor’s lecture, young Daniel and the dragon SCP-1762-2 had a great time together. Through the lecture, not only Karl but we also realized that not all SCPs are harmful to humans, some will be friendly to humans, such as SCP-1762 being a prime example. However, SCP-1762 will still be kept by the SCP Foundation in a glass case for special containment and not allowed outside.
