As we all know, yesterday – February 18, T1 completed their undefeated first leg phase with a 2-0 victory over KT Rolster. This is even a match that marks the milestone of Faker’s 1000 wins in the LCK tournament. With DWG KIA being defeated by DragonX on February 17, the gap between T1 and its rivals is getting bigger and bigger.
T1 had a 2-0 win over KT to complete their undefeated first leg
Although the score seemed overwhelming, T1 also had to “sweat” in game 1 to be able to defeat his opponent. The reason is because the Jungler on KT Rolster’s side – Cuzz played extremely effectively in the early game and brought a great advantage to this team. And it was thanks to Keria’s excellence in fighting ability that T1 gradually regained the position and won the final victory.
Keria’s excellent fighting ability helped T1 regain the game
The highlight of this match was the fact that even though Cuzz was holding Rek’Sai in the Jungle and constantly fighting, he was on the Attack Hammer, an item that was only used to split push. Even Zeus on the T1 side is on the Attack Hammer even though this young talent is very active in combat. Witnessing that an item that specializes in split pushing but is so strong that it is abused to overwhelm a fight, the session analysis and leading experts on League of Legends must also “run out of words” with Riot.
Analyst Caedrel of the LEC tournament, watching the match between T1 and KT, was completely speechless when he saw Jungler Rek’Sai on the Attack Hammer
At this point, many people will ask the question why is an item used to push retail so popular? The answer lies in the fact that the stat that the Attack Hammer brings is already very large compared to other current Gladiator items. Specifically, this item gives 50 AD, 400 health for only 2800 money, so this is too much power for the generals who own it.
As we saw in the match above, neither Cuzz nor Zeus cared about split pushing or trying to take advantage of Attack Hammer’s passive. Instead, they still rushed into the fight with great force even though in theory this item would “waste” in doing so. The Attack Hammer simply provides too many strong stats for a cheap price and makes Gladiators extremely powerful.
Despite using the Attack Hammer, both Cuzz and Zeus are constantly engaged in fights because the basic stats of the item are too large.
Of course, when an item is so badly misused, Riot will definitely have to fix it. The most predictable workaround would probably be to lower Attack Hammer’s base stats and transfer it to this item’s passive for split push. This makes the Attack Hammer no longer a very strong item in terms of pure stats and causes its value to plummet when entering combat. Hopefully Riot will edit the Attack Hammer soon in the future.
