At Worlds 2022, the age of the players is an extremely interesting topic. There are very old names whose careers are associated with the development of League of Legends. Typically Faker, Jankos… But in the list below are the 5 youngest names who have the opportunity to debut to the LoL audience at the upcoming 2022 World Championship.
5/ Burdol – 18 years 272 days (DWG KIA – DK)
This is not the first Worlds in Burdol’s career. However, if at Worlds 2021, he is still considered an inexperienced rookie, the pressure this time is even greater. Burdol must prove he can replace Nuguri. In particular, when Coach Daeny repeatedly affirmed that Burdol was more in line with his philosophy, the burden on Burdol’s shoulders increased.
Burdol was born on December 25, 2003. Therefore, at the present time, he is 18 years and 272 days old and is the “oldest” person in this ranking. In addition, with his debut at Worlds 2021 in the shirt of Gen.G Esports (Gen.G), Burdol is also the only player in this ranking with Worlds experience.
4/ Zeus – 18 years 235 days (T1)
The next name is Zeus – Top lane player playing for T1. Needless to say, the 2022 season is the first time Zeus has been hit. In the past, he was mainly a substitute for senior Canna. But even though it’s the first time coming from T1’s main lineup, Zeus is the most reliable player of this team to date.
The World Championship 2022 is the first time Zeus has made his debut in T1’s main roster at this playground. The young star of T1 has performed well in the last 2 LCK tournaments as well as MSI 2022. But Worlds is a completely different environment and Zeus will have to work harder if he wants to bring glory to T1.
3/ Brance – 18 years 210 days (LOUD)
In this list, for the LoL community in general and fans at VCS in particular, perhaps Brance is the strangest name. He belongs to the LOUD team from South America, specifically Brazil. Similar to most of the names on this list, Worlds 2022 is the first time Brance has had the opportunity to attend an international tournament of the LoL village.
And Brance along with LOUD is also one of the unknowns at the upcoming Worlds 2022. Of course, many people will not appreciate this team. But surely, teams from small regions will always have many interesting surprises for opponents and LoL audiences around the world.
2/ Shogun – 18 years 176 days (Saigon Buffalo – SGB)
In the past few days, the VCS community has been extremely worried when the Visa issue of the players has not had clear results. It was not until September 22 and 23 recently that Vietnamese LoL fans could breathe a sigh of relief when the VCS players would fully attend Worlds 2022. Of course, for SGB alone, the Shogun – Taki couple is still the top support.
Shogun is also the second youngest player to attend this Worlds. In 2022 alone, this is the second biggest international tournament that Shogun has the opportunity to attend. At MSI 2022, he and SGB had an excellent performance. LoL fans in Vietnam as well as around the world can completely believe that Shogun as well as SGB will bring more impressive performances at the upcoming tournament.
1/ Jojopyun – 17 years 357 days (Evil Geniuses – EG)
The youngest player at Worlds 2022 is Jojopyun – EG’s Mid laner – a representative from the LCS region. Similar to Shogun, Worlds 2022 is the second biggest international tournament of LoL that Jojopyun has the opportunity to compete in this season. At MSI 2022, Jojopyun was not really outstanding, but he also joined EG in the group of 4 strongest teams.
As a young player, Jojopyun soon proved his ability. At Worlds 2022, EG will definitely still need a lot of the shine of this young talent on the quest for the title.
These players are all very young names. Someone is the youngest in a seasoned squad. But there are also people who are the most important member of a team full of morning stars. No matter what, when it comes to Worlds 2022, they will all have to give 100% of their ability to bring the best results for their team and give the audience the best performances.
